There is no secret Braylon Edwards wants to return, he’s also aware you need players to be flexible at the negotiating table if teams are to keep important pieces of the team intact. We’ve seen QB’s around the NFL move money around so teams can fit players under the cap. Braylon knows there is a plethora of talent on the Jets. He’s not looking for a huge pay day, he wants to win. He loves the N.Y area, likes playing for Rex and has become close with Mark Sanchez. He, as would many a Jet fan like to see Braylon stay in green.Lets hope we see a deal done.
“It depends on what the discount is,” Edwards said this afternoon, after joining Mark Sanchez’s “Jets West” passing camp in Southern California. “I’m not aiming for the moon.”
“I put myself in a situation where I think I’m in a certain ballpark,” he added. “You get close, then let’s do it.”
Edwards likes Sanchez as his quarterback. He likes New York. He likes that the team has been on the doorstep of the Super Bowl twice since he was traded from Cleveland in October 2009.
Put simply, he said, “I don’t want to go anywhere else if I don’t have to.”
