Braylon Edwards has been doing some public outreach stuff (Ronald McDonald fundraisers) in the New Jersey area. In the amidst of his busy schedule he’s been also wheeling and dealing on the real estate front. Not sure exactly what this means in terms of him signing with the Jets, perhaps he’s trying to find cheaper property during the lockout. One things for sure Braylon wants to be here. He wants to be here for a long time. He loves the city, the fans love him and he’s a great ball player. We can only hope Tanny resigns him long term.

This shouldn’t be taken as a sign Edwards is done as a Jet. He has made it very clear he’d like to return to the Jets, even hinting that he’d be willing to consider a discount to do so. Still, he knows that bringing back fellow free agent Santonio Holmes is a higher priority.
Some reporters caught up with Braylon during his fundraiser and you can sense he’s devoted to his cause but that he also really wants to be a Jet.
“I’m not (in New Jersey) at all, I’m waiting to see what happens with the lockout and everything, but we’re still up here, trying to help these kids,” Edwards said before the event. “This is really about our commitment to what we start. We started a relationship with them, and just because (my time with the Jets is) on the fritz or I may not be here, we’re still committed to our relationship.”
