Life Of a Lockout Preview

Sione Pouha New York Jets NT takes fans through a day in the life of an NFLplayer during a tumultuous lockout period. Pouha was rated by UK Jets fans as the Jets player of the year. Pouha with his short time with the Jets has done a fantastic job clogging and anchoring the middle of the Jets interior defensive line. He had giant shoes to fill when Kris Jenkins went down with an injury. Jenkins never really was able to shake the injury bug. Meanwhile Sione was able to step in and do a an amazing job stuffing the run and solidifying the middle for the Jets.

As humans we all need structure, the NFL and it’s offseason regimen acted as structure for players around the league to get them ready for the rigors of the NFL grind. With the lockout firmly in place and the owners and NFLPA appealing at every turn the lockout seems  nowhere near a conclusion. Players have to take it upon themselves to stay in shape and keep their bodies NFL ready. The NFL world is complete chaos right now and Pouha gives us a sneak peak at what it’s like from a players perspective.
