Bart Scott expected to take Mo Wilkerson under his wing and tutor him on the Jets defense in the coming weeks. Never to early to get the ball rolling. Mo should be ideal in Rex Ryan’s defense with his versatility to play on the nose or in 4 man DL lines such as dime sub 4-3 and nickle sets. We could even see Mo stand up on the weak or strong side situationally  in 3-4 sets. Jets fans should look forward to this guy playing early and often. Rex likes to throw guys into the fire quickly.

The one Jets teammate he has been in contact with so far is linebacker Bart Scott. Wilkerson considered joining Scott, Vladimir Ducasse and several other NFL players, including a handful of Dolphins, for a week-long OTA-style camp in Boca Raton, Fla., this week, but was unable to head down.

Instead, he plans to meet up next week with Scott, who has offered to tutor Wilkerson on the Jets defense.
