The time really is now or never for Shonn Greene. He shared time with Thomas Jones and Leon Washington, he shared time with Ladainian. It truly is a now or never year for him. The Jets didn’t draft this guy to split carries with another feature back. They drafted him to eventually be thee feature back in New York. One of the knocks on Shonn Greene was that he hadn’t developed solid hands. However he’s clearly focused on catching the ball out of the backfield and truly becoming that Mr. everything at tailback. We now see Greene flaring out of the backfield catching the football which he’s done a fantastic job in doing as of late.

The  writing is on the wall for Greene. This will be a big year for a bunch of  New York Jets players. This is a huge year for Shonn Greene. Lets hope he’s able stay healthy in green and white for a long time.

“Shonn’s ready to take that next step,” Schottenheimer told me. “He’s just gotten better year in and year out. His durability this year was outstanding. You just see the confidence in his eyes. His ability to pick up pass protection stuff has been terrific the last couple years. We expect a breakout season from him. He’s a guy that’s got just huge, huge, huge potential that we think is right there ready for him to grab.”
