“If I’m going to play … it’s going to be with the Jets,”

So it sounds like J.T wants to play another year of football. It also sounds like he’ll only play with the Jets. Jason Taylor is another guy who just loves playing in this system under Rex Ryan. I think bringing J.T back another year might be a viable option with the league under so much pressure currently with our CBA negotiations. If or when a deal gets done there is going to be a lot of pressure on teams to sign free agents and a lot of rookies missing out on valuable reps and meetings with the league locked out. So perhaps bringing J.T back another year isn`t necessarily a bad thing in this situation. Ultimately the Jets need to get younger off the edges and they will likely address that in the draft or free agency.
