What we all thought wouldn’t happen did. 11 year New York Jets veteran Shaun Ellis signs with Patriots. Figures of the contract were not reported initially. It’s now to be believed Shaun Ellis signed with the Patriots for a whopping 4mil with 1mil incentives.

It’s believe Ellis wanted to retire a Jet but wanted more then a 1yr deal. He scoffed at the Jets veteran minimum offer of  910,000 and jumped on the 4mil offered from the dreaded New England Patriots. A move that has the Jets faithful absolutely seething.

Seeing Ellis in Patriot colors is going to be very hard to stomach.

Shaun Ellis had about five million reasons to sign with the Patriots. The Daily News has learned that Ellis agreed to a one-year deal believed to be worth between $4-$5 million dollars. New England’s offer was about five times more than the Jets’ veteran minimum offer of $910,000, according to a source.
