Jets took a flyer on Aaron Maybin. It’s low risk high upside with Maybin. He had a hard time in Buffalo’s 3-4 set but thinks he can thrive in Rex’s multiple set defense. At the very least he can be quality back-up. Good pick up by New York.

 

The Daily News has learned that free agent linebacker Aaron Maybin has decided to sign a deal with the Jets. He will put pen to paper later today after he takes a physical, according to a source.

Maybin dropped from 250 pounds to 228 pounds after a bout with pneumonia before training camp. He is now back up to 242 pounds, according to a source.
