The New York Jets on Tuesday signed Australian rugby star Hayden Smith, a 6-foot-7, 240-pound former basketball player who projects as a tight end in the NFL.

Interesting signing by the Jets. Hayden is a great athlete but very raw. Playing a new position and playing the game of North American football is a different game. Jets fans can’t expect much early on. He will be a project.
