Forum post of the day
November 17th, 2011The Sanchez Debate Continues. The latest forum post to continue the saga. Will sanchez turn the corner and become a top 5 qb? Is he a top 5 QB in the NFL right now?
ROBJETS gives his opinion and breakdown about the Jets offense since 2006.

Here is the truth by stats. I’m leaving my opinions out of this one so you be the judge.
Under Schotty 2006-
Chad …a qb after two or three shoulder surgeries with an already weak arm and Favre…..a qb at the end of his career that came in right before the season started had one great year in his last three.
On top of that both Chad(his last two years with the Jets) and Favre played with a very bad offensive line.
Chad 2006 30 sacks(16 games)485 atmpts 64% com 6.9yards avr 82% rating 17tds 10 int 3352 yards
Chad 2007 26 sacks(9 games) 260 atmpts 68% com 6.8yards avr 86% rating 10 tds 9 int 1765 yards
really really bad for something like only 8 and 1/4 games to be sacked 26 times
Both years most amount of sacks in his careerFavre
2008 30 sacks(16 games) 522 atmpts 65% com 6.7yards avr 81% rating 22tds 22ints 3472 yardsMark
2009 26 sacks (15 games) 364 atmpts 53% com 6.7yards avr 63% rating 12tds 20ints 2444 yards
2010 27 sacks (16 games) 507 atmpts 54% com 6.5yards avr 75% rating 17tds 9ints 3291 yards
2011 22 sacks (9 games) 298 atmpts 56% com 7.0yards avr 81% rating 14tds 9ints 2081 yardsJets defense ranks 2006 20th

Jets rushing ranks 2008 9th
Jets rushing ranks 2009 1st
Jets rushing ranks 2010 4th
Jets rushing ranks 2011 24thThe down low…..
Mark much better defense all 3 years
Mark 2 of 3 years much better rushing
Mark better better oline for two years for sure (but Im pretty sure its all three years 2007 and 2008 the oline was very very bad, cant remember 2006 to well)
attmps are about the same except Marks comp % is much lower than league average or Favre and Chad under Schotty
yard average about the same for all three (surprising since Chad was a dink & dunk qb)Not putting my opinion but stats wise Mark has done less with more
Chad started as the starting qb(1st time as starting qb) in his third year in the league and put up 22tds 6 ints 68% com 104% rating 22 sacks in 15 games (12 starting)
3120 yards.
Just put this up to show what a good qb should be doing. Chads problem was he was always getting hurtFeel free to make excuses for Mark as usual.Stats don’t lie.

Jets Sign Woodhead
April 28th, 2008
OMAHA, Neb. — Chadron State running back Danny Woodhead, the NCAA’s career rushing leader, signed a free-agent deal with the New York Jets on Sunday night, according to the player and his agent.
Agent Chris Gittings said he and Woodhead thought the Jets were a good fit after teams passed on the 5-foot-7½ running back during the draft, mostly because of his size. Woodhead ran for 7,962 yards in four seasons for the Division II school in western Nebraska.
Terms of the deal for the two-time Harlon Hill Trophy winner were not immediately disclosed, and the Jets would not confirm the signing. Read the rest of this entry “
Jets Move Up To Grab Keller
April 27th, 2008
Keller reshirted his first year at Purdue (2003), moving from wide receiver to tight end before his freshman season. He appeared in 33 games (13 starts) in his first three seasons (2004-’06), hauling in 74 receptions for 1,001 yards (13.5 average) and nine touchdowns. As a senior, he hauled in 68 receptions for 881 yards (13.0 average) and seven touchdowns in 13 games (all starts). His receptions per game (5.2) and receiving yards per game (67.8) ranked fourth and fifth, respectively, among the country’s tight ends in 2007. Keller missed one game in 2005 because of an ankle injury. Keller is undersized and he will never be a dominant drive blocker. He also will struggle to get off the line at times. However, this converted wide receiver is a playmaking threat in the passing game with the hands, athletic ability and versatility to develop into a quality contributor
Jets Grab VG
April 27th, 2008
No prospect at this or any other position in the draft has more upside than Gholston. The 6-foot-3, 266-pound defensive end ran a 4.67 40-yard dash, and showed excellent upper-body strength at the NFL scouting combine. He’s also athletic enough to move to outside linebacker in a 3-4 scheme. However, he is a boom-or-bust prospect, especially this early. He’s just not as consistent on film as a player with his talents should be.
Finally! Jets Deal D-Rob
April 25th, 2008ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP)—The Denver Broncos acquired defensive tackle Dewayne Robertson from the New York Jets on Thursday for a conditional pick in the 2009 draft.
Robertson, the fourth overall pick in the 2003 draft from Kentucky, spent five inconsistent seasons with the Jets. He often seemed out of position in New York’s 3-4 alignment.
The 26-year-old Robertson also has been bothered by knee problems.
“It’s a great opportunity,” said agent Hadley Engelhard, who’s hoping to finalize a new deal for Robertson with the Broncos on Friday. “He’s got the chance to showcase his abilities.”
In 77 regular-season games (75 starts), Robertson has 319 tackles, 188 solo, and 14 1/2 sacks. He’s forced four fumbles, recovered two, and had two pass breakups.
“He’s a guy that, if you do take, there’s going to be some question marks because if you take a look at his knees, he hasn’t passed a physical, but he’s still played 80 percent of his games,” Broncos coach Mike Shanahan said of Robertson last month at the NFL owners meetings. “So how big of a risk are you going to take?” Read the rest of this entry “
