Mr_Jet Icon : (02 May 2015 - 11:30 AM) I want to be the first person to say it. "Broadway Bryce"
V DidDy 210 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 11:30 AM) imagine being a jaguars super fan haha
Chadforpresi... Icon : (02 May 2015 - 11:37 AM) Damn Vikes got Clemmings, in round 4 he's worth it
santana Icon : (02 May 2015 - 12:28 PM) Can we get a post with the selections
azjetfan Icon : (02 May 2015 - 12:40 PM) It's tough to do with iPad but I'll get one started
azjetfan Icon : (02 May 2015 - 01:01 PM) Jay Ajayi ?
azjetfan Icon : (02 May 2015 - 01:02 PM) Maybe a Tyrus Thompson?
azjetfan Icon : (02 May 2015 - 01:22 PM) Phi a took Ajaji
Smedsthejet Icon : (02 May 2015 - 01:33 PM) Some depth on the line with the Harrison pick
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 01:43 PM) I read the scouting report for Harrison, the scout said he has probowl talent but has a work ethic concern.
santana Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:10 PM) Who the hell is Bryce petty
azjetfan Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:20 PM) Tom Pettys brother
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:22 PM) Jets should take Collins with one of their 7th rounders if there
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:22 PM) He has more upside for a 7th rounder than anyone else
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:22 PM) He can start right away at RT
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:29 PM) He said he won't sign
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:32 PM) so he doesn't want to be drafted?
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:33 PM) If Collins doesn't get drafted, he can't enter next years draft. He can only if he is drafted and sits out. So I guess he has to go undrafted
V DidDy 210 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:41 PM) going undrafted makes the most sense for collins
V DidDy 210 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 03:41 PM) but for teams, drafting him and dealing with his holdout makes more sense
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 04:19 PM) Zac Stacy was traded to us for our 7th
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 04:21 PM) Jets also drafted a NT with our other 7th
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 04:21 PM) 6'4 330 DL who is very strong
V DidDy 210 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 04:25 PM) zac stacy for a 7th
V DidDy 210 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 04:25 PM) well can't complain about that
MikeGangGree... Icon : (02 May 2015 - 04:29 PM) So we have 4 rbs now
V DidDy 210 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 04:31 PM) still would have rather taken a runner on collins but i can't complain with depth
V DidDy 210 Icon : (02 May 2015 - 04:32 PM) i mean they can't expect to carry 4 rb though no?
azjetfan Icon : (02 May 2015 - 05:50 PM) Collins would have been a waste. He would not have signed. At least we have something to show for our pick. Worst case scenario is we trade or release one of our backs.
azjetfan Icon : (02 May 2015 - 05:56 PM) I know it's hard to tell without seeing a win loss record yet but this regime seems really on point.
azjetfan Icon : (02 May 2015 - 05:56 PM) For the first time in my life I can say I feel comfortable with the people making the decisions.
azjetfan Icon : (02 May 2015 - 05:57 PM) I was close with Parcells but he seemed like a short term fixer and didn't care about the long term
MikeGangGree... Icon : (02 May 2015 - 06:57 PM) SUCK FOR THE DUCK
MikeGangGree... Icon : (02 May 2015 - 06:57 PM) .......oh wait
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 01:13 AM) Well that was a disappointment
Chadforpresi... Icon : (Yesterday, 01:24 AM) I like getting Stacy for our 7th rounder, assuming he can handle the fact he won't be a feature back (yikes)
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:31 AM) I like the trade, hes a quality back and adds more depth to our backfield
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:32 AM) Macc has pretty much killed it this offseason
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:32 AM) He has turned this roster around, he has added talent and competition all over.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:33 AM) We still aren't great at QB, but our overall football team is good. We have a realistic shot at making a playoff run
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:33 AM) We may have the best defense in football. We have a great DL and secondary, that is gonna be tough on offenses when you can stop the run, pressure the QB, and blanket the receivers
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:23 PM) ok now it's time for this team to take all this talent and do something anything below a 10-6 season will be a disappointment
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:24 PM) the only still glaring issue is QB
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:25 PM) we got the WR problem solved, we got probably one of the best Defenses in the game and we have addressed the OL but QB will still be the glaring issue
Chaos Icon : (Today, 09:34 AM) jets cleaning house

Broncos, Cutler reach a stalemate; Denver now accepting trade offers

Apparently convinced that their rift with Jay Cutler is irreconcilable, the Broncos have decided to pursue a trade for their disgruntled quarterback before the April 25 draft.

In a stunning turn of events, Broncos owner Pat Bowlen released a statement at 9 p.m. ET Tuesday saying both he and coach Josh McDaniels had been unable to get Cutler to call them back over the last 10 days.

Bowlen said he spoke with Cutler's agent, Bus Cook, on Tuesday and came away convinced "that Jay no longer has any desire to play for the Denver Broncos."

Therefore, Bowlen said, "We will begin discussions with other teams in an effort to accommodate his request to be traded."

This development is in stark contrast to what the Broncos' stance was at the NFL meetings last week. McDaniels, who created a firestorm of discontent with Cutler when he attempted to secretly trade him in February and the trade failed, seemed certain last week week he would be able to mend fences with Cutler in a private meeting.

A source Tuesday night said McDaniels felt he was at the point of no return with Cutler and had no choice but to pursue a trade.

Among the teams certain to be interested are Tampa Bay, the New York Jets and Detroit, which holds the No. 1 pick in this year's draft. But the Lions may have been swayed to pick Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford No. 1 overall after his impressive workout Tuesday on the Georgia campus.

Other teams are likely to be interested, including Cleveland, Minnesota, San Francisco and possibly Carolina. It's a virtual certainty that the Bucs and Jets, both without a bonafide No. 1 quarterback entering the draft, will bid aggressively for Cutler.

Cutler, 25, was the Broncos' first pick and 11th overall in the 2006 draft. Although his record as a starter is only 17-20, he is widely considered to be a player a team can install at quarterback and not worry about the position for the next decade.

He threw for 4,526 yards in 2008, but his relationship with the franchise soured after the man who drafted him, Coach Mike Shanahan, was fired by Bowlen in January and after an offensive coordinator he highly respected, Jeremy Bates, left for a similar position at USC when McDaniels chose not to keep him.

The day before free agency began in late February, McDaniels entertained two offers -- thought to be from Tampa Bay and Detroit -- in deals that would have netted the Broncos former McDaniels' pupil Matt Cassell from New England.

When Cutler discovered he had been shopped, he was furious because McDaniels had spoken to him as though he would be the long-term quarterback. Over the last month Cutler has simply been unable to get over it.

Don't rule the Browns out by any stretch....

From the reports that I've been reading, they are one of the 6 teams "allegedly" in the running..And they have Quinn and Anderson. Question would be how much does Mcdaniels/bowlen want either of those 2 guys..

Can you imagine Eric mangini getting Cutler and winning a couple of Super bowls down the road eventually?

Hey...if it is NOT us....then i truly hope it is the Browns.

That means whomever Denver doesn't take...is available in a trade for us.

I would gladly take Anderson or Quinn to add to the competition at QB on our team. And would come cheap.

since when is Cutler the 2nd comming? hes a garunteed ticket to the SB NOW? he better hope he gets traded to the NFC if he wants to see the super bowl, cus as soon as Philip Rivers sees Cutler in the playoffs, Cutler will tuck tail and be done.

You take everything so literally. Leon was pretty much saying that is our luck. We give up on Mangini, and don't get Cutler, and they combine to win some superbowls. Why do you give everyone crap man?

If the Browns do get involved, McDaniels probably wants Quinn because of the Charlie Weis connection.

And on the second thing, that would just be Jets luck.

What intelligent Jet fan does not want the Jets to go after Cutler? This opportunity will not present itself again for years. When was the last time a young franchise Qb was available? Sanchez or Freeman are no where near Cutler. Ratliff and Clemens are no where near Cutler. If you want to settle for five or more mediorce years, then by all means keep pulling for the Clemens/Ratliff era. If you want to be a relevant team then Cutler is our man. Pull out all the stops Tanny. Make it happen. Sorry but I've seen enough 7-9 to 9-7 Jet teams.

Look, either way we're gonna go after him. I personally would not want to see him on my team, i think we would have to give up way to much for him and i think that anyone whose "feelings" are hurt cuz you were attempted to be traded is too much of an emotional liability. this is the nfl, deal with it. but if they accept our offer, then he's our qb. great. i hope his diabetes doesn't prevent him from a full career and he's able to get over himself, and next time when he says "i'm better than brett favre" maybe if he was, his team wouldn't be trading him.

I have come to the realization that most pro athletes have the "world revolves around me" attitude, so I'm not too surprised to see Cutler react this way, but when a player refuses to answer or return calls from the teams OWNER, then I think he is taking this too far. Regardless, I don't know what is happening behind the scenes, so I can't get on his case too much. Is he justified in the way he is acting? I don't know and at this point I don't think I really care.

I hope the Jets do pursue him because I think it would be silly not to explore all possibilities. But I have enough confidence in Clemens that I am not willing to give up too much for Cutler. I know "too much" means different things to different people, so having that discussion of what "too much" is a different argument. But if we do get Cutler, he won't be the main reason we win and he won't be the main reason we lose. As long as we have a capable, smart QB (which Cutler is and which I believe Clemens will be), I'm satisfied.
