Prisco's rankings don't mean jack sh*t when it comes to actual talent. didn't he pick us to be the bottom feeders of the AFC East last season? Not to mention......he sits there and says we're a yr or two away from being playoff contenders. I could've sworn we were int he playoffs last season or did smoking all that crack affect his memory?
We may have a tougher schedule this year but we also have a cohesive unit that is going to turn a lot of heads the same way this team did last year.
I'm waiting to see how he ranks us after week one considering he & everyone else is saying that the Pats are the powerhouse with all their offseason acquisitions. that will be very telling.

I will not be forgotten. This is my time to shine. I've got the scars to prove it. Only the strong survive.

yes this is a joke. this power ranking is god awful. i mean the top 5 look decent. the broncos could be a little lower but its not that bad of a place for them. the bears need to be lower and after seeing 4 teams that missed the playoffs and another 2 teams who got lucky to make the playoffs last season in front of us i knew this was going to bad....not to mention 5 NFC teams listed higher....i do not mind being an underdog as we usually are but everytime we make the playoffs of have a decent to good season in recent hisotry there is an excuse and we have no chance of doing any better or even the same. in a non biased view id say that if the jets had a schedule with all the teams listed from 8 to 15 (8 games) id put money on it we would go 6-2. the giants, cardinals and seahawks listed higher than the jets is just awful....

whoah whoah.........
sorry to go off topic... but speaking of rankings
christiano ronaldo > then maradona?!?!? what are you kidding me?
jetsohfive thats pretty disgusting.
christiano is an excellent player and has very quick feet. but there is no way he could be even considered on maradonas level.
---------
as for the rankings... although its another crappy listing by prisco id say hes got us right where we should be. i think we are top 15 but towards the very bottom.

Just you wait 10 years my man. Cristiano is already the best player in the world at 22. He'll lead Portugal to the World Cup in either 2010 or 2014.

He's obviously basing it out on perceived talent level, which is why I can understand the Jets being in the position they are as we aren't a team stock full of superstar guys. We should be above the Cards and Giants though, especially the G-Men as they lost their focal point on offense (Barber), their LT and are still not that great on the defensive side of the ball, especially in their secondary.
The Cards talent wise have a ton of good players but their OLine has been suspect, which is the reason they were held back. However I don't see how the addition of Levi Brown is going to put that OLine over the top. No doubt they will be better than last year but I doubt they finish above the Seahawks (who will have a healthy Alexander and Hasselback) and 49ers who have made massive strides this offseason, at least on paper anyway.

the gianst are awfull. eli still isn't a decent QB, they lost there best player on offense. there line is questionable at best, they have 1 good WR. a crappy RB and an unproven RB. and thats just the offense.
on defense. they lost both starting LBs (on a unit that was weak to begin with) signed a back-up LBer and is promoting a special teams player to start on the other side. At DT they have literally nobody. we call robertson a bust, as least he's a decent starter. joseph is horrible for the giants. not to mention robbins is decent at best. in the secodnary there safties are average (demps and wilson) and there DBs were horible. they had 2 nickel backs starting and a 5th DB playing the nickle (madison, mcquarters, and webster) and no dept (deloatch and walker?) they drafted 1 in the 1st round but i doubt he will be able to make a difference this year (i wasn't high on ross in the draft) so i don't know in any way shape or form they could be ranked higher then us?
