The Jets are hiring Bears nat'l scout Rex Hogan as their director of college scouting. Chicago has released him from his contract
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:40 PM) @AlbertBreer 14m14 minutes ago
The Jets are also hiring Rams scout Brian Heimerdinger to a prominent front-office role. St. Louis let him out of his deal.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:48 PM) Heimerdinger is our director of player personnel now
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Today, 08:12 PM) That is Mike Heimerdinger's son who used to be our OC in 05
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Today, 08:12 PM) hopefully his son isn't as horrible as his pop was at play calling
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:17 PM) Everyone looks like a bad playcaller when you have no QB and have no talent
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:18 PM) When Heimerdinger was our OC it was when we had a ton of injuries on offense, were down to our 4th or 5th string QB
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Today, 08:42 PM) FIRE HOGAN
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Today, 08:42 PM) FIRE HEIMERDINGER

Is the Colts defense, but if you would have to give it to one player I would say Dominic Rhodes and a CLOSE second with Addai.

While DEFENSES win CHAMPIONSHIPS , it is greatly assisted by an OFFENSE that allows it to get lots of rest on the sidelines while they keep moving the chains and consume copius amounts of time! That way the DEFENSE is fresh when it comes back on the field. PEYTON kept the ball for most of that game ! The defense was well rested when it did come in. Contrast that to GROSSMAN and his defense! Say no more! LOL Peyton EARNED the MVP and ADDAI and RHODES were also deserving! PEYTON kept the BEARS defense honest because they were aware of his arm and ability to read defenses. IMo it was a very good game. A real TEAM effort.

1) Defenses have to respect the passing game. If they leave anything undefended, Manning will take advantage of it.

2) Mannings ability to read defenses and audible into the optimal play benefit the RB a lot. It doesn't matter who the RB is if the defense is sold on pass and Manning changes to run before they can adjust.

This is what makes PEYTON so valuable and a great team player!

Mark Schlereth
MVP: Peyton Manning

Turning point: Peyton Manning's touchdown pass to Reggie Wayne in the first quarter was the turning point of the game for me. It was a great way to answer Devin Hester's opening kickoff return and gave the Colts the confidence to keep chipping away against a great defense. If the Bears had been able to stop them on that drive, this could've been an entirely different game.

Ron Jaworski
MVP: Peyton Manning

Turning point: The Reggie Wayne touchdown reception in the first quarter was the turning point for the Colts. That touchdown was a piercing shot in the Bears' confidence. This defense doesn't like to give up the big play, and after a big special-teams touchdown, it was hunkering down and hoping to put up a great performance. Instead, the Colts scored on a big play and had the Bears reeling.

And Peyton was being hit as he threw that ball.
Our time has come! Rex will bring us a Super Bowl victory! Go Jets!

iagree.gif I've only watched the first half of the game so far, will watch the remainder of the game later tonight but apart from that big 50+ yard run from Thomas Jones to set up the TD pass to Muhammad, the Bears did nothing on offense in the first half. Jones had trouble getting beyond the line of scrimmage whilst Grossman was just dinking and dunking and never getting any real good yardage. The couple of throws he tried downfield were easily defended as well and he was just floating them out there.
If it wasn't for all the turnovers, the missed FG and Hester's opening kickoff return then Indy would have had a commanding lead at the half.
If anyone was MVP other than Manning it should have been Dominic Rhodes.
