ganggreen2003 Icon : (Today, 12:03 PM) we need to get rid of Sanchez
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Today, 12:04 PM) he's a completely weak-minded individual
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Today, 12:04 PM) already back to doing what he did last season THROWING INT's
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Today, 12:04 PM) sucks that Garrard retired but I'd rather suffer with Geno going through growing pains than keeping Sanchez under center in 2013
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 12:33 PM) haha gg03 throwing in the towel on sanch!
mgjetman Icon : (Today, 01:37 PM) What a way to make sporrts center already, Mark......
mgjetman Icon : (Today, 01:39 PM) Sanch owns the #1 blooper of all time with that butt fumble also and to make matters worse he threw it right to a friggin Pat...
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 01:53 PM) buttfumble on thanksgiving was the low point of his career
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 01:55 PM) Teammates talking shut about Sanchez
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 02:11 PM) In case you haven't heard, because why would anyone report on the Giants, Nicks is also holding out
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 02:11 PM) That makes both Cruz and Nicks.
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 02:11 PM) But who cares, Sanchez threw 3 "interceptions"!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 02:59 PM) ?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 02:59 PM) why would we give a f*** about the Giants?
santana Icon : (Today, 03:04 PM) gg03 jimmies are riled
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 03:21 PM) You're not in NY. All the backpages are focused on Sanchez
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 03:21 PM) None of the NY media even mention Cruz or Nicks
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 03:40 PM) nicks isn't holding out. he's injured still and taking it easy. cruz is holding out. why it isn't a big ordeal IDK. it would be for us
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 04:02 PM) maybe because theyre not that far off.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 04:02 PM) Cruz wants to return back, they'll figure it out.
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 04:41 PM) 3 mil a year off or 30% less then cruz wants. tahst alot of money to be off
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 04:41 PM) cruz doens't want to leave NY cause teh extra money he'll get in endorsements plus he knows taht they can RFA him this year and then Franchise next year so he might not be able to get a LTD for 3 years
Mr_Jet Icon : (Today, 05:21 PM) Clemens11/Tebow15 (soon to be Smith7) said if we had just drafted Crabtree and Nicks and kept Clemens, we'd be good.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 06:44 PM) No, he can't be Smith7
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 06:44 PM) his name is reserved for garbage QBs, we don't want Geno to be bad
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 06:44 PM) He can be McElroy14
extmenace Icon : (Today, 06:51 PM) we're taking bridgewater next year with the number 1 pick and treating geno like a jimmy clausen.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 06:53 PM) What makes Bridgewater better than Geno?
HurricaneJet32 Icon : (Today, 07:12 PM) everything
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 07:56 PM) ^
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:16 PM) college players always get hyped up before the draft process, just wondering what makes him so much better.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 08:19 PM) Stronger arm, plays in a pro system, better throwing motion, better athlete
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 08:19 PM) there's probably nothing Geno does right now that's better than what Teddy does
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 10:25 PM) Wouldn't it be funny with Bridgewater ends up having the type of season Barkley had?

Yanks Cleared to Break Ground for New Stadium
Associated Press

NEW YORK (AP) - The New York Yankees can break ground Wednesday for their new ballpark next to Yankee Stadium after a state judge struck down an environmental challenge to the construction, saying trees don't have legal protection.

Even before Tuesday's ruling by state Supreme Court Justice Herman Cahn, the team announced it planned to conduct a groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday. Construction is to start a day later.

The team, which has played at its Bronx ballpark since 1923, plans to move to the new 53,000-seat, $800 million stadium for the 2009 season.

The judge rejected an effort by Save Our Parks, an association of about 100 households in the neighborhoods where the new ballpark will be built, to stop the city from removing trees at the construction site.

"Trees themselves have no legal protection," Cahn said.

Communities were protected through environmental impact statements and reports but there was no legal bar to cutting down trees to permit a project that benefits the city and the community, he said.

"The trees are not owed more deference than the community as a whole," he said.

He acknowledged the Yankees' threat to leave the city if construction does not begin, saying it was a "real and significant possibility."

The group's lawyers asked the judge to block construction while he more fully heard their arguments that the city did not honestly explore the impact of the new stadium on the neighboring communities' parkland, open space and 15,000 students at 19 schools.

A lawyer for the organization did not immediately return a telephone call for comment Tuesday.

The judge did not toss out the group's lawsuit but said its claims seemed unlikely to succeed and were insufficient to block construction.

The judge noted early in his 20-page decision that the Yankees need a modern stadium with more off-street parking, especially since the current stadium does not properly accommodate those with disabilities.

"What might have been adequate in 1923 or during the mid-1970s is not adequate in the 21st century," he wrote.

He noted that the project will increase parkland by more than 2 acres and add facilities including a track, a soccer field, ballfields, 16 tennis courts and four basketball courts. He said the community would be without recreational facilities for up to four and a half years, though a running track would be available throughout.

Lawyers for Save Our Parks had argued that's a long time in the life of a child in a poor neighborhood where children suffer from asthma, obesity and diabetes.

The program, the judge said, was approved by the Bronx borough president, the City Council and the national parks department.

I haven't been to The Stadium for nearly a decade, but I have no idea what is wrong with the current one. When they tear that thing down, we won't win another World Series.

The Yankees wont be the same after the old Yankee Stadium goes. When players go to the new one, it wont have the same feeling or atmosphere as the old one had and the Yanks wont have that advantage.
