What a little bitch, i cant see Jeter coming out and saying Ortiz shouldnt get it etc etc.

And all this bullshit about the lineup, is it our fault your lineup doesnt produce, and dont give us the crap about jeter getting protection, he has Manny hitting behind him.

Anyone say desperate?? cool2.gif

Jackass, I just lost the No respect I had for him..oh wait.

Talk all you want about this guy, but its seemed the past 3 years, all hes cared about is winning awards..no WINNING!
After Ortiz had a report before about how he SHOULD WIN, Jeter came back and said someone who cares more about the award than winning isn't a team player, or something like that..and thats true..Jeter has yet to say anything about the award..but seems to be all Ortiz cares about.

Sick

Who cares about Ortiz...Howard should take the NL MVP! If Bonds did it, and his team didn't make the playoffs...Howard should too. The Phillies are two players, Howard and Utley. Mostly Howard. Just the fact that they are still in the race should be reason enough to get him the award.

This is what Jeter sid when asked about MVP

QUOTE
"I'm not thinking about winning an MVP, I'm thinking about winning the division," Our focus here isn't on individual awards. We've still got something to play for."

Now that is a guy with class, he was not getting drawn into the discussion about that, every year Ortiz whines about this, seems like this is all he wants.

AL MVP- Jeter
NL MVP- Howard

Jeter is as classy as they come. I did not expect Ortiz to say this, but I have always thought this. DH's are not full time players, they should not get the MVP. I think in the future an MVP needs to be in the field for so many outs in a season as well as so many AB's.

Over the past week or so Ortiz has tried to go back saying he emant nothing by it, the only reason he is doing this is because he is a relativerly popular player and he got slammed all over the sports pages for saying that, fans turned on him, and not only Yankee fans but other fans. He shouldnt and i dont think he will win the MVP
