Came across an interesting factoid courtesy of an old friend in the journalism biz, David Little.
Back in the day, Little was a beat reporter for Chilkoot's Chargers, and has since moved on to become a big-wig at the Chico Enterprise Record in northern California.
Little got in touch with us the other day to share this interesting piece of Brett Favre trivia as it relates to his cozy community north of San Francisco:
When Favre retired from the Packers - and was then booted out of town after he tried to return - he was replaced by Aaron Rodgers, who was born and raised in Chico.
Now that Favre has retired once more, his replacement might be another Chico product. If Brett Ratliff beats out Kellen Clemens - or whoever else the Jets might bring in over the coming months - then Chico will have produced both Favre successors. That's right, Ratliff grew up in Chico - population 86,949.
