I wanted to make this post to discuss ways to master the Jets in madden 06. Please discuss tactics or key plays from their playbook you use, to say, beat experienced players who use more favored teams.

I set a goal for my self when 06 came out which was to master the jets and be able to beat any team with them online and against my friends what not. Through my experience its incredibly difficult!! Ive been able to figure them out enough to stomp the computer using the jets even when they are the pats or eagles(even with bollinger starting). To pull off many of my victories the key is to master the defense. Letting the linebackers do the damage to create 3rd and long and then utilize a safety or cb to stop a long conversion. Along with some pressure on the quarterback.. abraham is a beast. If u know how to operate it well the defense is incredibly difficult to penetrate.

Offensively utilizing the jets compared to most other teams in madden is quite different. In my opinion martin has been ridiculously slow in madden 05 and 06. He cant round corners and is often even stuffed by some lame cb off the edge. I usually pound him up the middle running behind mawae and deeking the lbs hopefully getting in the clear. Recently i have been swapping him out for blaylock and getting more production aswell as converting 3rd and shorts by pounding martin up the middle.
