Who has had the biggest impact on the team's success this year?

Is Favre responsible for the Jets being the second in points scored in the league or is it a combination of Favre & a vastly improved O-line?

The addition of Jenkins to the D-line has undoubtedly been the biggest Defensive acquisition this team has made in a long time taking the unit from being bottom dwellers in the league against the run to the top 3.

I have a feeling many people will say Favre, but if so, has it been his play or what his presense has done to the atmosphere in the locker room? I personally believe it'll be between Favre & Jenkins for the team MVP this year. Favre's presense behind center causes opposition to be wary or stacking the box. His gunslinger atitude has also put us in some very bad situations this year. (Oakland)

Has to be Brett, yes, his gun slinger ways hurt us like the Oakland game, but it was that same 'gunslinger' ways that got us to Overtime in the same game. Now don't get me wrong, every addition we made has significantly helped us get to the point were at, but We've seen our team have great defenses in the past, but they never got us that far because we didn't have 'spark' on offense. Defensive Wins Championships, but you can't get there without a working Offense, and now we have both.

It is tough to pick which has helped the most, because one wouldn't work without the other, but I can't look at the list and say we would still be where we are without Favre.

To me it's Favre, but the other three do deserve consideration too.

Simply without Brett, the offense wouldn't be putting anywhere near as many points as they have been, plus his presence has helped the run game. Faneca and Woody have helped solidify the OLine and really brought the best out of DBrick and Mangold. However, Favre has still been pressured quite a bit.

Jenkins has been a mountain in the middle, making the team almost impossible to run on, and Pace too in the passing game has supplied an immense amount of pressure.

All were shrewd, yet expensive moves made by Tannenbaum. But the money spent has brought results.

Kris Jenkins turned around our pathetic defense into a tough hard nose defense. I feel like no one can run on us, thats a feeling I haven't had as a Jets fan. So I would say he has the biggest impact, but Favre is up there too.

I also believe Faneca has a big impact. He turned around a soft nature OL into a dominant unit, hes a mauler. He really can open up some big holes. He was money well spent IMO.

To me its definitely Favre. His on the field play has been almost great but i think it is more what he has done for the team in the locker room that has caused him to have the biggest effect on the team out of this years off season additions. He has brought a swagger, a confidence, and a winning mentality to the Jets. His teammates know every time they step on the feild, every snap of the ball, Favre gives them a shot no matter who they're playing against. Jenks has been amazing in the middle of our D and if this were based purely on "on the field" play, Id say Jenks, but what Favre has done for this team cant be measured so easily. Favre is definitely the off seasons most valuable pick up.

Tony Richardson....he has opened holes for TJ and Leon like that one where it was a strong set run to the right and Richardson opened the hole and TJ just took off and he has been great on the pass rush also and he just goes out and does his job...Favre is the face of the big spending signings we did this offseason and of course Pace and Jenkins have been great on the Defensive side of the ball and Faneca has been great as a role model for D'Brick and Nick but I wouldn't want to see where TJ would be without Richardson opening holes for him to hit when he's in there....

Honestly i can't vote. in my opinion its a 3 way tie between jenkins, favre, and faneca

w/o faneca favre wouldn't have the time to make the plays he's making. faneca has been great and is helping out mangold and furgeson. we might have the entire left side (mangold, brick, and faneca) in the Pro bowl this year.

w/o favre we would not have a top 3 offense like we do. teh jets never had an offense like this. favre is looking amazing the past month he opens teh field and makes room for the run game to have an impact. with chad we wouldn't be 8-3 maybe 6-5 or 7-4 and jones wouldn't lead the AFC in rushing.

w/o jenkins we wouldn't have a top 3 run defense. were forcing teams to have to pass to win and teams that can't pass (tenn) don't have a chance against us. without forcing all the 3rd and long our defense would be on teh field too muhc. we had the ball over 40 minutes against the best team in the NFL.

w/o all 3 of them we don't beat the titans. period.

I rank them Jenkins, Favre, Faneca. The run D was a joke the last few years, and it has become one of the best units in the league with him in the middle. It has been great to see Favre's leadership and ability to make plays from nothing, and DBrick and Mangold improving their game with Faneca between them, but I give the nod to Jenkins.

I am voting for jenkins. To me everyone has been very important to the turn around but without jenkins opposing offenses would be having their way with us. With jenkins he is not only helping our defense...he has also given the jets offense the ability to stick to game plans. I mean the titans game is a perfect example. The titans couldn't stop the run...fell behind...and had to start passing. The jets on the other hand killed the titans strengths...made them fall behind and our offense had the ability to remain unpredictable. teams are not scoring at will (well at least not in the first 3 1/2 quarters). Favre has helped our offense. Faneca woody, and Richardson has helped our blocking but Kris jenkins has helped the entire team if that makes sense lol.

No love for Calvin Pace? No way is he the best offseason pickup, but if you have woody up there then Pace should get some recognition.

I'll give Jenkins the slight edge over Favre. Simply put, the team would be better with Jenkins and Chad than it would with Favre and D-slob. Jenkins has single-handedly turned this defense into a force. Without him, it would be much more difficult for the D to get off the field and put the ball back in Favre's hands. Of course Faneca and Woody, as well as Pace have all been really nice additions as well, but it starts in the trenches and Jenkins is BEASTLY. He's done more for the D line than Faneca has for the O line.

Just amazing how sticking a sturdy big body on the nose changed how the entire defense plays.
Jenkins, hands down.

When he isn't in there, it looks like last year's defense.
