Yes, the Jets need a receiver, but it's the deepest receiver draft in years, and they can find a good one in the second round. This would mark the fifth straight year with a defensive pick in Round 1.
Chaos Icon : (14 April 2014 - 03:51 PM) is he better than Gilbert, Dennard, and Fuller?

one thing though, football is a team sport, if the defense wouldnt have given up over 20 points in the playoffs we wouldnt have lost. Why not throw our defense under the gun, they couldnt stop the run for shit last year, also we didnt have the best pressure, we had to blitz a lot to create pressure. Plus our CBs couldnt cover for shit, only Dyson could, Hank Poteat had his moments. Our defense must take it up a step if we want success. Also if our offensive line did better in the playoffs, Pennington wouldnt had to run for his life the whole time and throw off his back foot, and we could had more success with the running game if the holes were bigger. Plus Coles was slowed down at the end of the season because of how banged up he was so we couldnt rely on him as much to make plays, to me if we want bigger success we need the whole team to play better not just Chad. Also we took a good step towards building a championship team, first was last year getting 2 really good offensive linemen, 2nd was this year getting 2 hopefull starters in the defense, with a hopefull #1 CB and a hopefull starting ILB.

Dubb keep doing your thing! I've only been on this board for a little over a month, and you Signal, jetson, Harlem, etc. are doing a great job! My sons been on this board forover 2 years and treats his peers with respect! Like iv'e always told him in order to get respect you have to give it!! 5 days to camp!!!

Well I can tell he's been raised well. I've and nor have any other mod or member for that matter has ever had a problem with vilmatime. He's a good contributor to the site and vastly knowledgeable. He's a valued member.

The thing is I just don't want new member such as yourself leaving because of a few morons. There are only a few trolls on this site and something us mods are constantly trying to weed through. I think a lot of people around here enjoy you're input. So stick around and chill.. and let us deal with the riff raff

Wow, I don't visit the site for a day and this is the kind of stuff that's been going on. What happened...

When Chad went down those seasons (pick anytime) it was the absolute worst. My world came crumbling down as soon as he went down. And even last season when he got hit and went down, rolling around on the turf, I sank into my seat and felt that all to familiar feeling. Thank god he came back the next play though. Pennington is our only chance of winning right now and I am confident when he is in the game. I feel bad for you that you cheer for a man getting a serious injury. That's disgusting. And you gloat about it which is even more sickening. You should never cheer when someone gets an injury (unless it's tom brady of course icon_idea.gif ) It's a shame.

but we can show you many teams when their STARTER is IN and they don't have a good record. You said you would rather be a fan of a team like the lions rather than a team like the jets with pennington as a QB? ur ridiculous. that statement just shows your football IQ. you'd rather be a fan of a team that has no chance of winning a championship instead of a team like the jets who makes the playoffs every year. you never know whats going to happen in the playoffs, so we can keep making it to the playoffs for all I care and eventually we'll win. while a team like the lions will never win. I"ll take my heartbreak, because I know we're gonna pull through eventually. and it'll be that much sweeter.

iagree.gif And great post. The heartbreak makes it better being a Jets fan as you know your team is going to toy with your emotions whereas if you are a Lions fan it would just be depressing every game of the season. Being a fan of a sports team is meant to play with your heart as well, if it didn't life being a sports fan would be very, very boring.
It does get frustrating at times (see Browns and Jags games last year; Steelers playoff game, Raiders playoff game) but a lot of other times being a fan of a playoff team that is on the brink of being great is great - for example when we beat the Pats last year and when we beat Green Bay in 02 to book a playoff spot and then romped past the Colts in the wildcard round.

It's "you're", as in " you are". "Your" indicates possession. It drives me nuts how illiterate Americans are.

illiterate:

The traditional definition of literacy is considered to be the ability to read and write, or the ability to use language to read, write, listen, and speak. In modern contexts, the word refers to reading and writing at a level adequate for communication, or at a level that lets one understand and communicate ideas in a literate society, so as to take part in that society. - wikipedia

so therefore he isn't illiterate because you and everyone else can understand him. sorry. but you're using the word illiterate wrong. stop trying to get on americans and relax. we all know what he means. we're not trying to be perfect when we're writing quick post when we're at home and work. I agree that americans don't write correctly alot of the time, but this isn't the place to express your distaste for it, because many people write on here very quickly to get there point across and make mistakes. although they actually know how to write it if they had to do it professionally.
