2nd and 6 at MIA 34 Direct snap to 23 - R. Brown. (Shotgun) R.Brown pass deep left to A.Fasano to NYJ 45 for 21 yards (J.Leonhard).

It was the Dolphins first wildcat play, but I think it won the the game. It was genius to throw the first, as it just completely scrambled the brains of the Jets defensive players and for the whole game they just seemed tentative and a step behind.

Honestly, I'm not sure why Rex didn't see this coming. Even I kind of half expected it, and I'm a moron.

Good point..we were hesitant all game against the wildcat...we were thinking and not reacting as instinctively as we normally would. I'm treating this as a freak game..our D will be back next week

My heart sank watching that first quarter. You knew it was going to collapse.
One of the best defenses in the NFL lost to a gimicky college offense that is straight out of West point's cutting room floor. Awful loss. No excuses.

An offensive set or package that cannot be run the entire game but is a very effective use of personel. Much like the shotgun is for Tom Brady and Randy Moss.

It definitely will. That Bills offense is atrocious. It would not surprise me if the Jets set a record in sacks or INT's that game.

There really wasn't a play that ended it for the Jets. Miami isn't built for that. What killed you guys was the sustained long drives that ended with a TD. I don't care what defense is out there. Its simply too hard to play well under those circumstances.

Not likely seeing as how the Jets only have 4 sacks all year.

Yeah not having sacks is an effect of the amount of pressure being brought. Teams just are not holding the ball long at all. Most sacks come not from blitzes but from QBs holding the ball too long or a lineman missing a block or simply being beat. I definitely predict sacks, but not setting any sort of record.

fins only threw twice from the wildcat

hopefully next game the defense abandons the pass protection and crashes the line to stop the runs.

This gimmicky crap has nothing to do with anything.Pure and simple it was an inability to stop the run.Period.
