I'm with HHF, I hate Clemens, but he's a damn good pitcher and will be a nice band aid for the rest of the year with Pavano undergoing Tommy John surgery from what I've heard.

Obviously Clemens doesn't want to pitch in October!

Clemens there not only brings a pitcher to the clubhouse, but also a leader. He chose to sign with the Yankees over the Red Sox because (as he said to the fans) he believes this team can still win.
He is the wakeup call this team needed.

Theres no question that the Yanks are going to get to the playoffs, they always started out slow and then make moves that gets them there. It was a great signing and a expected one. Our rotation is finaly getting healthy with Mussina coming back the other day and pitched great. Now we have our top 3 back, and Wang dominated yesterday too. Add Clemens to be the 4th pitcher, our staff is pretty darn good. Then if Phillip Hughes gets brought back up when he gets healthy, our staff will be awesome by September. The only problem is will our bull pen be done by then? How far can we get through the playoffs?? I expect the Yankees to win the divison for the 11th straight year, we will make our run, and the Sox arent that far a head of us at 5.5 games. The Yankees have the experience and talent to win the divison and get themselves back to the playoffs, and now the pitching staff looks a lot better. Clemens still has it, he can place the ball great still. He is a improvement over Igawa and Rasner.
