An insider to the Jets organization on the premise of discretion has reported the Jets are close to signing a new member to their offensive line.

Charlie the Butcher says he's a statue of a man, and can solidify the line.

When questioned, Herm Edwards stated "This guy can really plug up the line. He's an obvious improvement"

Vinny Testeverde was quoted saying "Maybe this guy can keep me from eating New York dirt all day. I'm gonna wear 2 depends to ensure I stay clean for this game."

I see your whole game on the shoulders of your O-line. IF they block, you have a chance. If not... you're in trouble.

U can say that about every team. If the o-line plays good usually the offense will and if it plays bad usually the offense will. Tahts why they say it all starts upfront. And that’s for both sides of the ball. good lines can make up for problems elsewhere

What other teams have we played?

Ahh... so we have only played those teams... and we're 4-0. How can we improve on that? Well, we can go to 5-0, and that will happen Sunday... what else can we do besides that? Please..."educate" me.

You're not the only good defense... and our line is a lot better.

You have to admit man... you rline sucks this year.

Besides, Pittman will have a good game, and Caddy is in better shape that you think. I see it like this... if Pittman struggles, Caddy WILL be able to play (check Bucs website... it's there.)

But... PIttman is playing for a contract next season with some team, and has incentive to take advantage of his on field time. Look at what he did last week...

I'm not 100% confident. It all depends on stopping Vinny from having time to throw. But that's about the only time I'll admit that i'm not 100% confident biggrin.gif

Well our Oline is sucking but they don't suck if you know what I mean. We got a new O.C this offseason and he's more vertical. Hackett was old school run, controll the clock and dink and dunk west coast style offense. That we have grown accustom to the last 4 years. All of our blocking assignments are different blitz protection is different so it will take some time. I can't see the Oline going from pro bowl caliber to bottom feeders in one season. Their are things that needs to be corrected and this is also the same line that won Martin his rushing title last year. It's getting adjusted to our new O.C's system thats all it is.

yeah... but to look at them last game... then facing OUR defense...

It's not looking good for you guys man.

With our Cover 2 - Blitz happy 4-3 mentality... it'll be a long day IMO.

If oyu guys can establish a run (hasn't been done yet) that'll get Vinny time to pass. I just don't think he will when our D line will be in your backfield most of the game.
