This NBA Finals have been a flat out pathetic series of basketball. How can they call this a championship series when in game after game is a monumental blowout? How can the supposed two best teams in the league look so bad in one game and so good in another in a championship series?
They were talking on the radio today about why the NBA is not as popular as it used to be, and it's because of bad championship series like this one. I mean, seriously, there hasn't been a single game decided by less than 15 points. And Game 4 was decided by 31 points. 31 points in a championship series? I have a suggestion, let's have two series. Let the Spurs and Pistons do the real NBA Finals, but also let's get the Suns and the Heat together and let them play, because a series between those two would surely be more exciting than what we're getting on TV right now. On the radio today, they stated a statistic that was really sad: one of the NBA Finals games was beaten out in the ratings by Dancing With the Stars and The Weather Channel.

Well jetsfan, you got to understand, some players get hurt, some off days, but when you have the NBA best 1-2 defense squaring off and one of the other team dont have their best offensive guy on the court, you're gonna get a blowout. It's like this: god forbid penny gets hurt...cole having a off day...martin is our only hope but the other team's dline is shutting down every run we put up. Hopefully Nugent can kick some 55+ yard field goals. Aren't we bound for a blowout as well or is this gonna be some low scoring game?

Defense win championships...these 2 teams are out to show the world who got the better defense. So enjoy it while last.

i followed the playoffs but was never interested in it very much... game sevens always make for good watching and the few bits of games i have seen were fairly entertaining, quality basketball
i gotta go with detroit in game 7, larry brown is 5-0 when facing elimination... based on my limited exposure... i gotta go with detroit... unless duncan wants to step up and be the supposed best power forward ever (thats if the wallace's let him)
