ganggreen2003 Icon : (30 August 2015 - 07:50 PM) Any word on Leonard Williams injury?
azjetfan Icon : (30 August 2015 - 11:49 PM) He will be ready week 1. Just a sprain
Jetsfan115 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 10:33 AM) so we whooped the giants ass pretty badly
Jetsfan115 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 10:38 AM) bills cut fred jackson
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 12:29 PM) We got lucky with Williams
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 12:30 PM) Hes looked like a beast as well, so we need him healthy. Hes gonna be a future all pro
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 12:31 PM) Our offense can be competent this season
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 12:33 PM) Zac Stacy was a good add
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 01:46 PM) I'm surprised Freeman was cut, I thought he was a solid backup center. Guess they like Wesley Johnson better
Jetsfan115 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 01:58 PM) our offense is passable. we should put up 14-17 a game average
Jetsfan115 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 01:58 PM) should be enough for our Defense. our d-line is nasty with wilk, rich, snacks, and now williams
Jetsfan115 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 01:59 PM) out MLBs get picked on in coverage though. davis had a rough game
Jetsfan115 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 01:59 PM) our Cbs are way too good. cro revis and skrine. plus mcdougle looked solid. when milliner comes back, him being a dime back could be huge too
Jetsman05 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 02:24 PM) 17 points a game is "passable"? If we average 17 a game this season, we won't win more than 5 ball games.
Jetsman05 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 02:24 PM) Needs to be 20+
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 05:33 PM) Our offense should be better than its been in years
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 05:34 PM) which wouldn't take much
Jetsfan115 Icon : (01 September 2015 - 12:03 PM) another ex jet going to the pats http://theredzone.or...ms/Default.aspx
Jetsfan115 Icon : (01 September 2015 - 12:04 PM) our defense should allow an average of less then 14 a game IMO. If we can average 17 a agme I think we can win 9-10
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (01 September 2015 - 12:25 PM) Jace Amaro was put on IR, torn labrum.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (01 September 2015 - 12:26 PM) That sucks, I was looking forward to him at TE
ROBJETS Icon : (01 September 2015 - 07:24 PM) Labrum tear....definitely out for the year. Its not a bad surgery. I used the sling for about a week before I ditched it completely. Supposed to use it for a full 6 weeks. You can get away without it but just have to be careful not raising or moving your arm much and no lifting of pretty much anything. As far as fully healing ....6 mon ths minimum but for lifting heavy and full contact sports I wouldnt trust 6 months
ROBJETS Icon : (01 September 2015 - 07:31 PM) Still not that bad of a surgery on a pain scale. after a few days it mostly just aches like hell. ice and keeping your arm still is important. sleeping is major hard for the first 3 weeks or so. You wake up in pain a god bit. Id be dreaming and jerk my right arm up or move it wrong or lay on it wrong and wake up in major pain. still I liked t better without the sling than being completely immobile with one arm and healed just fine. He will come back from it fine
ganggreen2003 Icon : (01 September 2015 - 08:37 PM) sucks we lost Amaro for the season
santana Icon : (02 September 2015 - 09:34 AM) http://sport.woot.co...ef=gh_sp_6_wp_3
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (03 September 2015 - 09:47 AM) No suspension for Brady, what a joke
Jetsman05 Icon : (03 September 2015 - 12:26 PM) I don't think it is a joke but f*** him.
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 September 2015 - 04:15 PM) f*** new england
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 September 2015 - 04:15 PM) he still was behind the balls being deflated
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 September 2015 - 04:16 PM) he authorized those 2 employees to do that to the footballs
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 September 2015 - 04:16 PM) he is a diva so f*** that classless organization
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 September 2015 - 04:21 PM) it's especially sickening living in the middle of CHEATriot country and listening to these assclowns up here make excuses for their POS QB
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 September 2015 - 04:21 PM) and that classless organization
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 September 2015 - 05:13 PM) who's watching this game tonight?
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 September 2015 - 06:09 PM) INT and then he fumbles it away
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 September 2015 - 06:09 PM) f***ing Walls
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 September 2015 - 06:15 PM) Stacy is runnin the rock
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 September 2015 - 06:15 PM) all running plays so far
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 September 2015 - 06:18 PM) TOUCHDOWN NEW YORK JETS!!!!
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 September 2015 - 06:45 PM) TOUCHDOWN NEW YORK JETS!!!!
ganggreen2003 Icon : (03 September 2015 - 06:45 PM) 14-3

Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 10:23 AM) we won't cut him this year, next year we might
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:42 AM) steve waetherford got cut by the giants, they traded the steelers for brad wing

They're pretty much the same just with college players. I'm more of a NBA fan so I get NBA instead.

I haven't gotten any of the basketball games this year, although I think 2k7 is the better game of the two, and it's also the only sport game i'd buy with 2k over EA.

Yea it happened to me on Sunday night. It's probably fixed by now. I think the 2K servers were down for a bit. Are you able to go online yet?

NBA Live 08: Go-To Basketball
EA revitalizes Live with four new features that let you play like an NBA superstar.
by Hilary Goldstein
June 21, 2007 - NBA Live has been in the crapper for the past few years. That is not up for debate. But the once proud series is hoping to make a miraculous comeback. Having never been much of a fan of EA's NBA series, I'll admit that I had little faith that Live could resurrect itself; it looks like I was wrong. With a new dedication to creating a true sim basketball -- and actually making it a challenge to drive to the hoop -- NBA Live 08 looks to be the start of a new era for EA hoops.

EA Canada's initiative for Live 08 is creating "Go-To Basketball." Every team has a go-to guy and the superstars have go-to moves that they rely on to create scoring opportunities. Getting the ball to the right player when he's in the right spot on the floor, with the best match up, is going to be key to racking up points this year. You can try to play Live like an arcade dunkfest, but you will likely end up with your ass planted on the parquet. You'll need to play smart with 08 and to your players' abilities. If not, expect the route to be on -- but not in your favor.

Live introduces four new features that bring the Go-To experience to the court:

Signature Go-To Moves: Beyond last year's Signature Shots, Live 08 recreates the tried-and-true moves of the NBA's greatest players.

Quick-Strike Ball Handling: Freestyle moves are gone, replaced with a deeper system of dribble moves and defensive counters.

Own the Paint: The post game has been completely remade and turned into a shot/countershot battle for positioning where size truly does matter.

Hot Zones: The standard three shooting zones (close, medium, 3-pt) have been broken up further into left, center, and right sections. Bruce Bowen loves shooting treys from the corners, but put him at the top of the arc and he's likely to brick.

Over the next few weeks, IGN will break down each element of Go-To Basketball. It may sound like a marketing buzzword, but take it from a longtime NBA 2K fan: Live 08 is the real deal.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Go-To Moves

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Close your eyes and picture Kobe Bryant. There's only four seconds left on the shot clock. Kobe's eight feet out, back to the basket. Raja Bell is draped over Kobe, keeping him from driving to the hoop. What does Kobe do? If you've watched much basketball, you already know. He turns 180 and pulls up for a fadeaway jumper, his right leg kicking out as he pushes back. That's Kobe's go-to move. He does it all the time.

Now imagine the rest of the NBA's top players using their own Go-To Moves. There's no special button to press, no "power meter" to fill, no gimmicks. NBA Live 08 is about contextual moves. So when in a similar situation in Live 08, you can expect Kobe to pull that fadeaway, because that's who he is. That's how he plays.

The same can be expected from Dwayne Wade. He'll do his trademark hop-step jumper. Mav's fans can rest assured that Dirk's jumper is identical to the real thing. It even clanks off iron in pressure situations.

The Signature Go-To Moves aren't limited to jump shots. Dwight Howard has multiple power jams recreated with such care that you'll swear you're watching a Sportscenter highlight. Slip Tony Parker through a tight gap in the lane and he'll do his little flick runner. The only thing EA Canada didn't have time to add was the obligatory camera cut to Eva Longoria cheering on the sidelines. But hey, they have to save something for Live 09.

But what about Kidd or Nash, guys known for their fancy passing more than their sweet jump shots and dunks? A few Go-To passes are also in the game. And again, it's all contextual. The type of shot you take or pass you make is dependent on the ball handler and their position on the floor.

EA has been working on collecting Go-To moves for the past several years and decided it was time to finally put it in Live. The care taken with these moves can be seen in Practice Mode. Take D-Wade on the court and you can see a picture-in-picture NBA video of his moves in action while you practice. We tried to see AI's Go-To moves, but he didn't show up for practice.

Of course, ballers are made in big games, not in shootarounds. Whether it's in the paint, the top of the key or behind the arc, the superstars look and act like their real-life counterparts. Still, it's up to you to find the sweet spots on the floor and take advantage of defensive mismatches. Kobe may shoot like Kobe, but it won't matter much if you don't find ways to get him some spacing on the floor.

Signature Go-To Moves is just one of four pieces expected to breathe new life into EA's hoops game. We'll explore the other three pieces in the coming weeks. Stay tuned.
