Jets are doing jets related things also... THE KNICKS.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:49 AM) I wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't viewed as highly next year. College players always get hyped up a year before the draft process. People change their opinions quickly.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:56 AM) I'll put a good amount of money that Bridgewater is still highly regarded coming out next year.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:00 AM) ok I found the chart
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:00 AM) Bridgewater had 0% of his passes go 40+ yards in college
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:02 AM) he could be, I'll wait though
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:02 AM) I doubt Smith will be as bad as Clausen anyways
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:03 AM) I remember watching Clausen in a NFL game and the guy couldn't even throw a spiral.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:03 AM) Geno has been impressing teammates with how well he can spin the ball and sling it.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:31 AM) I hope Geno turns out to be a f***ing monster
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 10:52 AM) andrew luck was hyped up for like 3 years before he entered teh draft
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:34 AM) tehhhh
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:37 AM) it wasn't for 3 years and Andrew Luck is the best QB prospect to come out in years. Teddy Bridgewater most likely isn't Luck or RGIII
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:40 AM) I've only seen Bridgewater play once. That was against Florida, I actually watched that game.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 12:12 PM) Teddy will be a good NFL QB I think
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Yesterday, 12:52 PM) THE KNICKS
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 01:21 PM) THE. KNICKS.
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:43 PM) Geno was the favorite to win the Heisman this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:44 PM) He was also a Top 5 pick this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:44 PM) If he came out in 2012, he might have gotten drafted before RG3
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:56 PM) TEH KNICKS
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:25 PM) noway he would have been drafted before RGIII
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:00 PM) Tehhhh
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:12 PM) chuck norris said tebow is a great QB. i'm so conflicted becuase tebow sucks but on the other hand if chuck norris said it, it must be true lol
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:21 PM) Geno was not the favorite to win the heisman going into the year lol
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:21 PM) you don't watch college football, stop
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:23 PM) He might not even of been in the second tier of players
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:25 PM) I've read a ton of articles and all had him as the favorite
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:25 PM) Who was the favorite then?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:27 PM) "Smith was already going to be on most Heisman preseason lists, but a 407-yard, 6-TD performance in the Orange Bowl win over Clemson only solidified him as an elite passer. He can make every throw on the field and has a plethora of talented receivers coming back. Since this team will likely be playing in the Big 12, which has had the uncanny knack for inflating quarterback numbers recently, Smith and head coach Dana Holgorsen are going to leave opposing defenses charred and crippled on most Saturdays."
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:27 PM) That's from a Jan 2012 article
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:27 PM) You can google shit from 14 months ago and find a f*** ton of these
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:29 PM) http://news.yahoo.com/top-10-heisman-trophy-candidates-2012-heading-season-150300441--ncaaf.html

SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:32 PM) He was 4th according to Vegas odds in April 2012
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) 4th makes him the favorite?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) you said he was the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) he wasn't anything near the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:54 PM) he reached his pinnacle in the heisman race in the early part of last season
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:54 PM) at that point he was the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:56 PM) also, what a basketball game
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Yesterday, 10:21 PM) 4 point game
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Yesterday, 10:21 PM) maybe the pacers are that good
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:36 AM) I said that his time last year, he was the favorite. I misspoke. He was 3rd or 4th. He certainly wasn't "not even in the 2nd tier" like you claimed
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:36 AM) Take your medicine Matty
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:36 AM) Maybe you should watch more college football instead of talking about watching college football

I watched all but about 10 minutes of The Weather Man on Saturday night. Although it is a bit weird and the humour isn't obvious, I found the film to be a pretty realistic portrayal of the trials and tribulations of life. The film is about a Chicago Weather Man who has been offered a job on Hello America as he is talented at his job but his private life is a mess as he is divorced, has two kids who are basically misfits and not on good terms with his Dad. He tries his hardest to rebuild his marriage but whatever he does, always with good intentions, turns out to go wrong for himself. I'd give it an 8 out of 10 because it was both funny and touching although a bit dark and hard to follow at times.

Saw a couple of films recently.
Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix- The 5th installment of the series was good, even though I forgot what happened in the story. Something about a secret society in danger and Harry joins or something like that, then he and his friend. 6.5 out of 10, would rate if higher if I wasn't so stupid and forgot what happened (rated PG-13).
Analyze This- This was one of the funniest movies I've seen in awhile. Stars Billy Crystal as a "shrink" who is about to get married and becomes affiliated with the mob when Paul Vitti (Robert De Niro), one of the heads of a mob family who's riddled with anxiety issues, becomes his patient. A bit of a spoof of the Godfather and they did a great job of it. I'd give it 10 out of 10, as I found really funny. (rated R, but only because the "f-word" is used alot).

QUOTE (socaljetsfan @ Jul 8 2007, 11:00 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Have you even seen the movie? Once you do then you can talk. The movie SiCKO is based on facts around the world.

Ummmm I believe the phrase you are looking for instead is "twisted facts." You know that guy who sewed his own leg together? He was paid by Moore and his production company. You know the people who quote the socialist regime's healthcare and didn't know what they were talking about. They were paid. The nurse who started crying after seeing the pictures of the dude who died becasue he had no insurance. Guess what!? She was paid too. Ever since Moore's first big film, Roger & Me just about every book, show, and movie he has put out is a laughing stock to those of the integretical journalism business. Swaying stats, paying for flawed quotes (basically paying an expert to lie about something) and down right lying are common amongst Michael Moore films. Sicko is so treacherously wrong its almost comical. I especially like how he "reveals" the Cuban form of health care to be superior to that of America's. Maybe in terms of availability to the poor, Cuban health care might be easier, BUT it is not near the quality of American health care and oh yeah we don't have to pay $34 a pound for griseled, cheap meat when our average income is somewhere in the low $2,000 USD

In 2003 I did a personal essay on Moore's pieces that had been released at the time. I sent it to Newsweek who replied back, stating they'd publish it in one of that quarters issues. Then the movie Fahrenheit 9/11 came out. It just so happens that at the time Newsweek was in a syndicate group with Lionsgate Productions, the company which released Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11. So instead of running a 14 year old's essay which criticized a public figure and was purely derived from truths, they decided to instead pull my first published piece for a monologue by some women who took fertility drugs and had quintuplets.

Matter of fact is Moore is a lying fraud, even the party who he extremistly promotes (Liberal if you did not know) rejects him because of how well known he is within the realm of political media to lie and slander.

Socaljet, I suggest you read Dude Where's My Dignity a retort to the books and other works of Michael Moore, there in lies the actual truth behind Moore.

I've seen a bunch of movies since I lasted posted in here, and this thread needs some life back in it.
The Shawshank Redemption- I don't know where to begin with this movie, it's just excellent. Basically, this banker (Tim Robbins) is thrown into jail for 2 life terms after being wrongly found guilty of killing his wife and the person she was having an affair with. He goes to the Shawshank Prison, a top prison in Maine, and becomes friends with Red (Morgan Freeman), a guy who's been there for life. It sounds like a basic plot, but if I went deeper into this intelligent movie then I'd ruin it, bit just watch it, you'll love it. 10 out of 10, my 2nd favorite movie (trails Saving Private Ryan).

The Departed- Another superb film with a cast full of big names. The film stars Matt Damon as a new state trooper recruit in Boston, and he has everyone's trust as the troopers attempt to bring down a ruthless Irish mob boss (Jack Nicholson). Yet what all the higher ups in the troopers don't know is that Damon's father figure was Nicholson, and he's in the troopers to help Nicholson fly under the radar. On the other hand, another recruit (Leonardo DiCaprio) grew up in crime, and all his relatives were criminals and some had conections to Nicholson. The only way he's allowed into the troopers is if he first goes undercover to become Nicholson's right hand man, which he does. The movie is awesome as both moles and their bosses start to detect that something fishy is going on, and the ending is pretty suprising. Another 10 out of 10. This would be my 3rd favorite movie.

Gangs of New York- I didn't like this movie, I thought it was kinda weird and demented and somewhat confusing. Has to do with these gangs in NYC in the 1860s fighting each other, and then the Irish come and then they all hate the Irish and the Catholics or something. Didn't understand nor like it. 2 out of 10.

Charlie Wilson's War- I thought the movie was pretty good. About a rather sleazy Texas senator (Tom Hanks) that helps bring down the Soviet Union with the help of his tempermental friend (Phillip Seymour Hoffman, who I guarantee will won an Oscar for best supporting actor). The film is a trifecta, funny, smart, and accurate. 8 out of 10.

Hotel Rwanda- Hotel Rwanda is an inspiring movie based off of a true story. Set in 1994, Don Cheadle own a sweet 5 star hotel in Rwanda as Huto rebels attempt to kill all of the Tutsis. With no UN help, Cheadle has to do everything he can to save his family, and ultimately 1100 others as over 1 million people are killed in like 2 months. Will give this 7.5 out of 10.

The Insideman Its about a bank robbery, Denzel Washington is the guy who is trying to get the hostiges out, it is a really good movie, the ending supprises you what happens. I'll rate 9 out of 10 I like Denzel Washington movies, hes a really good actor, and usually is in the good movies.

Training Day Another Denzel Washington movie, Denzel was a corrupt cop, that is teaching the ropes to a non corrupt cop, it is a good movie. Just saw it yesterday, came out in 2001 though. 8 out 10

I am Legend Will Smith the main actor, hes supposingly the last man on earth, was a military doctor and tries to figure out a cure for a disease that turned all of the human race and some animals into these mutants things that can only come out during the night. I'll say a 9 out a 10. I really liked it, their was people on the movie theaters who didn't but my guess they didn't understand it.

Personally I didn't think I am Legend was that good. They gave the ending away about half an hour before the film finished when the woman entered the film with her son and was in Will Smith's house.

And it was a bit weird IMO.

I saw that today, the ending was horrible. I want to know what happened, like did that one girl make it out alive who was on the other helicopter, and if the Monster died or not. And where did the monster come from? Outer space or the seas?

I don't know whether you're joking or not, but would you prefer I not go to college and do nothing with my life rather than "pay money to be brainwashed"?
