Jets are doing jets related things also... THE KNICKS.
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 03:21 PM) You're not in NY. All the backpages are focused on Sanchez
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 03:21 PM) None of the NY media even mention Cruz or Nicks
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:40 PM) nicks isn't holding out. he's injured still and taking it easy. cruz is holding out. why it isn't a big ordeal IDK. it would be for us
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:02 PM) maybe because theyre not that far off.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:02 PM) Cruz wants to return back, they'll figure it out.
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:41 PM) 3 mil a year off or 30% less then cruz wants. tahst alot of money to be off
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:41 PM) cruz doens't want to leave NY cause teh extra money he'll get in endorsements plus he knows taht they can RFA him this year and then Franchise next year so he might not be able to get a LTD for 3 years
Mr_Jet Icon : (Yesterday, 05:21 PM) Clemens11/Tebow15 (soon to be Smith7) said if we had just drafted Crabtree and Nicks and kept Clemens, we'd be good.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) No, he can't be Smith7
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) his name is reserved for garbage QBs, we don't want Geno to be bad
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) He can be McElroy14
extmenace Icon : (Yesterday, 06:51 PM) we're taking bridgewater next year with the number 1 pick and treating geno like a jimmy clausen.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:53 PM) What makes Bridgewater better than Geno?
HurricaneJet32 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:12 PM) everything
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:56 PM) ^
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:16 PM) college players always get hyped up before the draft process, just wondering what makes him so much better.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:19 PM) Stronger arm, plays in a pro system, better throwing motion, better athlete
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:19 PM) there's probably nothing Geno does right now that's better than what Teddy does
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 10:25 PM) Wouldn't it be funny with Bridgewater ends up having the type of season Barkley had?
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:48 AM) better athlete but never runs as well
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:48 AM) stronger arm but rarely throws deep
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:48 AM) I am trying to find this article, but Bridgewater had about the least amount of 40+ throws in college football
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:49 AM) I wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't viewed as highly next year. College players always get hyped up a year before the draft process. People change their opinions quickly.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 07:56 AM) I'll put a good amount of money that Bridgewater is still highly regarded coming out next year.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:00 AM) ok I found the chart
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:00 AM) Bridgewater had 0% of his passes go 40+ yards in college
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:02 AM) he could be, I'll wait though
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:02 AM) I doubt Smith will be as bad as Clausen anyways
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:03 AM) I remember watching Clausen in a NFL game and the guy couldn't even throw a spiral.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:03 AM) Geno has been impressing teammates with how well he can spin the ball and sling it.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 08:31 AM) I hope Geno turns out to be a f***ing monster
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 10:52 AM) andrew luck was hyped up for like 3 years before he entered teh draft
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 11:34 AM) tehhhh
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 11:37 AM) it wasn't for 3 years and Andrew Luck is the best QB prospect to come out in years. Teddy Bridgewater most likely isn't Luck or RGIII
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 11:40 AM) I've only seen Bridgewater play once. That was against Florida, I actually watched that game.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 12:12 PM) Teddy will be a good NFL QB I think
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Today, 12:52 PM) THE KNICKS
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 01:21 PM) THE. KNICKS.
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 02:43 PM) Geno was the favorite to win the Heisman this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 02:44 PM) He was also a Top 5 pick this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 02:44 PM) If he came out in 2012, he might have gotten drafted before RG3
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 02:56 PM) TEH KNICKS
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 03:25 PM) noway he would have been drafted before RGIII
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Today, 04:00 PM) Tehhhh
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 04:12 PM) chuck norris said tebow is a great QB. i'm so conflicted becuase tebow sucks but on the other hand if chuck norris said it, it must be true lol

It hurt...but we still took the series...how does it feel to be acting like a Red Sox "Fan" and dissing other teams instead of just supporting your own team?

What is this crap? We're all New Yorkers here...we're all Jet fans...we just like different baseball teams. Both are good, both are looking to be in the playoffs...let's just enjoy it instead of being anti-fans.

Half the fun of a crosstown rival is shit talking about the other team.

OK than...the Mets have a better record now...maybe not next week..but they do now...and we're more games ahead of the rest of the division...and we actually have a future with guys like David Wright, Lastings Milledge, Jose Reyes, Carlos Beltran, Brian Bannister, and Mike Pelfrey...while you guys have...Melky (What kind of name is that) Cabrera?

Is that good enough? Mets win...Mets took the series...and if Wagner hadn't had a complete and utter brain fart the Mets would have swept the series...so...how do you like them apples Yankee fans?

PS - Pardon my ignorance to the Yankee farm system...I don't know if there are any good prospects on your team...but I'm pretty sure the Mets have a brighter future than the Yankees right now anyway.

You gotta be kidding if you're saing the Yankees have no future. While it certainly ain't as good as the Mets' it's still good.
But before I start, WTF is up with Mets fans and Jose Reyes??? He's a career .272 hitter and is right now at .246. The guy can steal bases and field, that's it. I can't believe there are people that actually think he is better than Derek Jeter. Sure he is fast and exciting, but he doesn't produce, he's like Mike Vick, nothing more than a highlight reel (but hot damn, your other highlight reel, David Wright, is the REAL deal. Next best 3rd baseman and poissibly the next best infielder in all of baseball).
Anyway, they Yanks do actually have a future. Melky Cabrera is starting to show something with the bat, though he is hitting a medicore at best .277, it's something to build on for a rookie.
Andy Phillips is looking like the future at first base. A good .284 and 4 HRs is rather good for a player with not even 150 career ABs. He's REALLY made strides this year and I can't wait to see what he can do as he gets better.
Scott Proctor's ERA has gone down over 2 runs since last year, and I'm pretty confident in him as the setup man for Mariano and his successor too.
Now I don't think he's gonna play much at all even with all the outfield injuries, but Kevin Thompson, though only in 5 ABs, is fairly good. Has got 2 hits (.400 BA), .600 slugging, a double, and 3 RBI. Let him gain some experience in Columbus and he could himself starting a few games next year.
Now don't get me started on this guy, because I can go on forever. But Robinson Cano, this guy is the future at second base. I personally think he has the potential to win a batting title, and this guy is most definetly gonna earn him an all-star spot or 2 in his career. Hitting a solid .313 right now, this guy is can be a #2 or #5, and if gets some speed, a leadoff guy.
Chien-Ming Wang is another guy I'm really excited about. He's 6-2 right now and looking good. Should only get better with experience.
Not to mention, A-Rod is still only 30 and Jeter is only 31, so with Cano, Jeter, and A-Rod along with Jason Giambi/ Phillips in our infield for the next few years, I'm good.

I like phillips but him being 29 worries me. We also have Phillip hughes, Tyler Clippard, CJ Henry and Eric Duncan. All of them have the potential to be great baseball players.

hey guess what, carlos delgado has a .248 batting average and has 16 home runs, so their goes ur jose reyes debate about him just being a highlight reel. hows this for a 'highlight reel' last year he had 99 runs and 190 hits.

Nice post chadforpres...I agree with you on Robinson Cano, I sure wish the Mets had him at 2nd base...but whatcha gonna do.

Phillips I'm not sold on because he's older and only starting to bloom? now...He can't have much room for improvement at that age...he should be well established and pinnacling in his career at that age. Just like you said of A Rod and Jeter.

The thing with Reyes is he's young, unlike Philips, he's only 22 or 23...not sure exactly. He's still learning discipline on the plate, and his walk totals are already increasing. I think he's about to pass last year's walk totals already this year. Even if his hitting stays where it is...he's one of the best if not the best defensive SS and once he gets on base...it makes every hitter after him better because the pitchers have to worry about Reyes so much. I also really love Reyes' attitude...the guy is always smiling...and that's the way the game is meant to be played!

We both have pitching problems for the future though...atleast the Mets have Pelfrey to loof forward to.

Did I mention Carlos Beltran proving the doubters wrong and showing he truely was injured last year. He's picking up the pace and looking to have a year like he did two years ago....absolutely dominant!!!

Not that I really even get your point...but .248 is pretty bad and Delgado has been slumping...although it looks like he might be coming out of it with his 2 HR performance last night.

Delgado is a clean up hitter while Reyes is a leadoff...Reyes' AVG should be a lot better than Delgado...I really don't see what you're trying to say?

Yeah, of course he got 190 hits, you'd expect your leadoff hitter to get that in almost 700 at bats. FYI, that's a whopping .273 average.
And Delgado is a good player but that average really needs a boost, he's in a slump but I'm sure he'll get back.
But I didn't see that about Phillips, guess we'll look for someone else. But we shoulda never traded Nick Johnson for Javier Vazquez, he was too inconsistent, and Johnson was a player we coulda builded on, and now he's doing good.

Doesn't produce? He leads the NL in runs scored...and that's with his sub par BA and low OBP...that means he makes stuff happen when he gets on base and makes every on base count! Plus his average and walks are increasing dramatically...he's hitting over .500 the past week.
