Jets are doing jets related things also... THE KNICKS.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:48 AM) better athlete but never runs as well
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:48 AM) stronger arm but rarely throws deep
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:48 AM) I am trying to find this article, but Bridgewater had about the least amount of 40+ throws in college football
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:49 AM) I wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't viewed as highly next year. College players always get hyped up a year before the draft process. People change their opinions quickly.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:56 AM) I'll put a good amount of money that Bridgewater is still highly regarded coming out next year.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:00 AM) ok I found the chart
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:00 AM) Bridgewater had 0% of his passes go 40+ yards in college
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:02 AM) he could be, I'll wait though
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:02 AM) I doubt Smith will be as bad as Clausen anyways
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:03 AM) I remember watching Clausen in a NFL game and the guy couldn't even throw a spiral.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:03 AM) Geno has been impressing teammates with how well he can spin the ball and sling it.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:31 AM) I hope Geno turns out to be a f***ing monster
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 10:52 AM) andrew luck was hyped up for like 3 years before he entered teh draft
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:34 AM) tehhhh
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:37 AM) it wasn't for 3 years and Andrew Luck is the best QB prospect to come out in years. Teddy Bridgewater most likely isn't Luck or RGIII
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:40 AM) I've only seen Bridgewater play once. That was against Florida, I actually watched that game.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 12:12 PM) Teddy will be a good NFL QB I think
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Yesterday, 12:52 PM) THE KNICKS
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 01:21 PM) THE. KNICKS.
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:43 PM) Geno was the favorite to win the Heisman this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:44 PM) He was also a Top 5 pick this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:44 PM) If he came out in 2012, he might have gotten drafted before RG3
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:56 PM) TEH KNICKS
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:25 PM) noway he would have been drafted before RGIII
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:00 PM) Tehhhh
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:12 PM) chuck norris said tebow is a great QB. i'm so conflicted becuase tebow sucks but on the other hand if chuck norris said it, it must be true lol
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:21 PM) Geno was not the favorite to win the heisman going into the year lol
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:21 PM) you don't watch college football, stop
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:23 PM) He might not even of been in the second tier of players
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:25 PM) I've read a ton of articles and all had him as the favorite
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:25 PM) Who was the favorite then?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:27 PM) "Smith was already going to be on most Heisman preseason lists, but a 407-yard, 6-TD performance in the Orange Bowl win over Clemson only solidified him as an elite passer. He can make every throw on the field and has a plethora of talented receivers coming back. Since this team will likely be playing in the Big 12, which has had the uncanny knack for inflating quarterback numbers recently, Smith and head coach Dana Holgorsen are going to leave opposing defenses charred and crippled on most Saturdays."
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:27 PM) That's from a Jan 2012 article
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:27 PM) You can google shit from 14 months ago and find a f*** ton of these
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:29 PM) http://news.yahoo.com/top-10-heisman-trophy-candidates-2012-heading-season-150300441--ncaaf.html

SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:32 PM) He was 4th according to Vegas odds in April 2012
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) 4th makes him the favorite?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) you said he was the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) he wasn't anything near the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:54 PM) he reached his pinnacle in the heisman race in the early part of last season
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:54 PM) at that point he was the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:56 PM) also, what a basketball game
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Yesterday, 10:21 PM) 4 point game
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Yesterday, 10:21 PM) maybe the pacers are that good

I'm assuming the queer sox means the Red Sox (grow up by the way loser), so I picked them. It should be interesting to see how the Yankees flop this year.

Cleveland Indians. This is the year they at least make the playoffs as the bullpen situation was sorted even though Keith Foulke just retired and the Indians have a great batting lineup with Pronk, Martinez, Sizemore, Dellucci, Josh Barfield, Casey Blake and Jason Michaels. Plus they have quality starters like Sabathia, Lee, Byrd, Westbrook and a real up and comer in Sowers.

Go Tribe!!!!

Seriously I think the Mets might do it this year but I've got to give love to my Tribe.

The same way you flopped last year against the Tigers after being touted "The greatest line up of all time".

or the year before against the Angels after being considered favorites to win it all.

thenin 04 when you were up 3-0 against us and there was "no possible chance" we could comeback. Refresh my memory by the way, what was the outcome of that series?

03...you beat us because your juiced up 1st baseman hit a couple home runs to get you guys back in it...then everyone knew the yankees basically had the world series won. Did they?

And in 2002...oh those little bugger angels...that was your year again.

2001. rivera fucked up...haha

The yanks do it well lately...should be interesting to see how they choose to do it this year.
---

As for no closer...who cares? We just threw in papelbon last year and he spun up 35 saves. im sure someone can fill the role and if not...put papelbon back in and give someone else the starting job.

Ok correct me if i'm wrong, but what the hell does 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 have to do with right now? I don't care about you guys winning in 2004, I don't care about our 26 championships, all I care about is winning #27. You can continue all you want, but if you think about we were the better team than you guys in every year except 2004. So I say enjoy living the past, because thats the only thing you will be thinking about all the time.

The difference is, you guys re-grouped by signing one huge pitcher, in D-Mat. You picked up a couple hitters, such as Lugo. Threatened to trade Manny yet another offseason. Almost got Helton. Looked around for all these closers to get, but failed to get even one. Instead you picked up a couple bums like Romero, Piniero. Pretty solid guy in Donnelly. Your team is moving Papelbon (AKA: THE STOPER) to the Rotation. So what the hell does that leave for your bullpen?

Lets really compare our teams then:

1B Mientkiewicz vs. Youkilis
Hitting: Youkilis
Fielding: Mientkiewicz

2B Cano vs. Cora/Pedroia
Hitting: Cano
Fielding: Cano

SS Jeter vs. Lugo
Hitting: Jeter
Fielding: Jeter

3B Rodriguez vs. Lowell
Hitting: Rodriguez
Fielding: Lowell

LF Matsui vs. Ramirez
Hitting: Ramirez
Fielding: Even

CF Damon vs. Crisp
Hitting: Damon
Fielding: Crisp

RF Abreu vs. Drew
Hitting: Abreu
Fielding: Abreu

DH Giambi vs. Ortiz
Hitting: Ortiz

Pitching:
STARTERS
Yankees
STARTERS
Wang
Mussina
Pettitte
Pavano
Igawa/Karstens/Sanchez/Rasner/Hughes

Bullpen
Igawa/Karstens/Sanchez/Rasner
Proctor
Bruney
Britton
Farnsworth
Vizcaino
Rivera

Red Sox
STARTERS
Schilling
Beckett
Matsuzaka
Papelbon
Clement/Lester

Bullpen
Decarmen
Donnelly
Hansen
Piniero
Romero
Tavarez
Timlin

Now in my opinion you can really discuss who has the better starters, but bullpen there is no question that the yankees are better there. We obviously have the better hitting with Abreu, A-Rod, Giambi, Matsui all coming in an order. Even before those 4 we've got Damon, and Jeter. Seriously though, who the hell is your closer out of those 7?

Now correct me if im wrong, but last I checked, the game isnt played on paper...you should know that, you always seem to be better on paper, yet never pull it out anymore...and its so ironic that you talk about living in the past...all you moron yankees fans talk about is your 26 world series...which again, correct me if im wrong, were in the past

Who the f*** cares who the closer is going to be...we'll plug someone in like last year or just go by comittee. and in reality, our sarting rotation is better...if the starters can give us 7 good innings, the pen wont be needed as much.
I wake up in the morning and I piss excellence.

you have a really good arguement there jason crazy.gif "we'll just plug someone in at closer". You can't do that. That's like saying hey the jets need a running back but its ok we'll just put this guy in there. Also if you do want to talk about the past how bout last year. What a great end of the season the sawx had. That 5 game sweep was amazing same with the coming in 3rd. But i do agree with JC that its all about the present no the past and the yankees definitly have a better team.

Are you blind, or did you just refuse to read anything in my last post? I said in my last post I could care less about the 26 world series. You are the one that has brought up the last 6 years, and of course you had no problem bringing up 2004. Do you see me bringing up 1996, 1998, 1999, or 2000? I could care less what happened then. If anybody brought up the past it was yourself. Why can you bring up 2004? But us Yankees fans can't bring up the world series that we won between 1918, and 2003? Whats the excuse going to be now when we win the division again? Can't really bring up the money issue anymore, now that you guys are overpaying now.

Good luck pluging in someone at the closer spot, while we continue with one of the best closer in baseball today, and maybe one of the best ever. The starters won't give you 7 good innings every single game, especially when you've got Schilling who probably will be throwing 7 innings at best right now, Beckett who can't, and wont last in the American League, Matsuzaka who has never thrown a major league pitch yet.

Before reading what everyone has to say, the Mets are the most talented team in the Majors. Without Pedro for most of the season they still will have the best record in majors. Dont get me wrong, Yanks r always a very good team, but the mets all around especially their youth just outbeats the yanks. Players like reyes and wright coming off amazing years will be even better this year and studs like Oliver Perez might break out like he did in Post Season. The mets also could have some major suprises with players like Humber, Pelfrey, and Millidge. For all i know fenon Fernando martinez might come up and hes only 18!!! and CArlos gomez who is compared to beltran will be a stud. the mets were the most talented team last year, but with a lot of new guys to the playoffs they played bad. this year should be completly different and expect a world series visit. who knows who the AL would bring to the table, Detriot, YANks, Bsox, who knows.

LMFAO

Every team with a decent rotation has a better team than yours. You guys are the Yankees of about 2 years ago. Great hitting, no pitching. You will never get anywhere without the pitching. You don't have one guy that is known to give you 7 innings every night except Martinez, and he'll be injured for most of the year. Hell, I can say loudly that yes the Boston Red Sox have a better team than you guys. The Florida Marlins, and Philiadelphia Phillies have a better rotation than you guys, and they will most likely give you a run for your money.

HAHAHA not only arent the mets the most talented team in baseball...theyre not even the best in the division (on paper...which i guess this is what were going by). The Phillies are going to take that division and maybe by a bigger margin than you think.

Yo they got Giambi at first arod at 3 jeter at short abreu in RF Cano at 2nd Matsui in left, and Jonny damon and Jorge Posada behind plate. That is a killer lineup. Then on the mound they got Wang a CY candidate, Mike Mussina, Carl Povano, Andy Pettite, and then Mariano Rivera in the BP. If u don't like that lineup then u don't know anything about sports, dumbass.
