Jets are doing jets related things also... THE KNICKS.
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 03:21 PM) You're not in NY. All the backpages are focused on Sanchez
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 03:21 PM) None of the NY media even mention Cruz or Nicks
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:40 PM) nicks isn't holding out. he's injured still and taking it easy. cruz is holding out. why it isn't a big ordeal IDK. it would be for us
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:02 PM) maybe because theyre not that far off.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:02 PM) Cruz wants to return back, they'll figure it out.
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:41 PM) 3 mil a year off or 30% less then cruz wants. tahst alot of money to be off
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:41 PM) cruz doens't want to leave NY cause teh extra money he'll get in endorsements plus he knows taht they can RFA him this year and then Franchise next year so he might not be able to get a LTD for 3 years
Mr_Jet Icon : (Yesterday, 05:21 PM) Clemens11/Tebow15 (soon to be Smith7) said if we had just drafted Crabtree and Nicks and kept Clemens, we'd be good.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) No, he can't be Smith7
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) his name is reserved for garbage QBs, we don't want Geno to be bad
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) He can be McElroy14
extmenace Icon : (Yesterday, 06:51 PM) we're taking bridgewater next year with the number 1 pick and treating geno like a jimmy clausen.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:53 PM) What makes Bridgewater better than Geno?
HurricaneJet32 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:12 PM) everything
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:56 PM) ^
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:16 PM) college players always get hyped up before the draft process, just wondering what makes him so much better.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:19 PM) Stronger arm, plays in a pro system, better throwing motion, better athlete
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:19 PM) there's probably nothing Geno does right now that's better than what Teddy does
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 10:25 PM) Wouldn't it be funny with Bridgewater ends up having the type of season Barkley had?
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:48 AM) better athlete but never runs as well
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:48 AM) stronger arm but rarely throws deep
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:48 AM) I am trying to find this article, but Bridgewater had about the least amount of 40+ throws in college football
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:49 AM) I wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't viewed as highly next year. College players always get hyped up a year before the draft process. People change their opinions quickly.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 07:56 AM) I'll put a good amount of money that Bridgewater is still highly regarded coming out next year.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:00 AM) ok I found the chart
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:00 AM) Bridgewater had 0% of his passes go 40+ yards in college
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:02 AM) he could be, I'll wait though
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:02 AM) I doubt Smith will be as bad as Clausen anyways
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:03 AM) I remember watching Clausen in a NFL game and the guy couldn't even throw a spiral.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:03 AM) Geno has been impressing teammates with how well he can spin the ball and sling it.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 08:31 AM) I hope Geno turns out to be a f***ing monster
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 10:52 AM) andrew luck was hyped up for like 3 years before he entered teh draft
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 11:34 AM) tehhhh
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 11:37 AM) it wasn't for 3 years and Andrew Luck is the best QB prospect to come out in years. Teddy Bridgewater most likely isn't Luck or RGIII
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 11:40 AM) I've only seen Bridgewater play once. That was against Florida, I actually watched that game.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 12:12 PM) Teddy will be a good NFL QB I think
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Today, 12:52 PM) THE KNICKS
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 01:21 PM) THE. KNICKS.
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 02:43 PM) Geno was the favorite to win the Heisman this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 02:44 PM) He was also a Top 5 pick this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 02:44 PM) If he came out in 2012, he might have gotten drafted before RG3
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 02:56 PM) TEH KNICKS
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 03:25 PM) noway he would have been drafted before RGIII
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Today, 04:00 PM) Tehhhh
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 04:12 PM) chuck norris said tebow is a great QB. i'm so conflicted becuase tebow sucks but on the other hand if chuck norris said it, it must be true lol

Whats the deal?

Now I know that I post a ton but thats besides the point but it's not like people aren't on here. Over the last couple of days I'm rather shocked. Having like 60 people on at one point and all I see is like 2 and 3 replied threads all the way down the page. Do you guys come here to just read or are you a part of the board?... you can get your read on without signing up, why sign up if your not going to contribute? I'm disappointed in all of the members on this board.

I mean don't you guys have thoughts and opinions? Ron is constantly updating this site and frankly this site is over loaded with features that NO OTHER JETS BOARDS HAS. He's constantly catering to the masses and yet you all sit back and just read. This site has up to minute information and the substance on this board is far more superior then any other jets board.. seriously!!, I'm not saying that other boards don't have that substance but our board is rich with it and I know it's the offseason and blazay, blah but it's not like you guys aren't on. I see tons of peeps just come in and leave and maybe you just come here to read "the good stuff" then go to a different message board to post.

I can't fathum having this board so chalked full of easy to use and fun features while also being painfully lenient with foul language and things of that nature, which you would be on "watch" and or suspended or banned if these types of things were even peeped on another board(s).

So you know what... everyonce in awhile give that reply button a shot, try it out. Use your fingers and type something (i'm sure your keyboard won't bite) . It doesn't matter if your right or wrong because it's a message board based solely on individuals personal opinions and after your done just accept, it's really that easy. For you to even look for a Jets message board over the internet tell me your a fan. Do guys agree with every damn thing people post on this board?... and hey, if you disagree, try out that old "reply" button. It works like a charm! biggrin.gif

All I'm saying is get more active DAMMIT!!!, or I'll start randomly banning people spiteful.gif

I only post when I have a different opinion then something that has been said, I don't think an " I agree with you" post is really necessary. And about the draft, I am not going to comment acting like I am some expert on college players, the FO knows a lot more about it then me so who am I to say it was a good pick or bad pick just because Kiper said it.

S-Dubb. You have convinced me to join. I've been reading posts on these forums for over a year now and I always enjoy the opinions from most of the members. I think it's about time I joined the fun!

Looks like this wasn't a total waste S-Dubb. biggrin.gif

I guess I could post a little bit more. crazy.gif

Where the hell is Chad4president?? He like just abandon us like at the end of the season? Maybe he had enough of the Jets already in his short life?? He use to be a very active poster.

I remember last year we had the chat room filled for the day, and the year before too. This year after the 1st round there was like only a few, once we made our pick. Only like 3 of us in there the 2nd day for a little while.

one thing i know for sure that will increase activity. is more responses to peoples posts. regardless of their post count. notice the most active threads are the ones where people reply to each other opinions. how many of us have stopped contributing to a thread because their post went unnoticed.

i know some of you are really good at responding but i know an increase in quote replys will generate more activity.

I used to just read this forum and have actually been coming here for a few years now but only joined just recently. And I know I dont post very often but to me, im not going to just post something just to post. Maybe I would post something thats new if I was able to be at a computer and hopfully beat everyone to a new post ( especially you S-Dubb ) but I work 2 jobs and im not even able to get to a computer till about 4 ( Arizona time ) and by then, anything new has already been posted and if someone posted a comment on that topic and I felt the same way, then I dont feel the need to post the same thing you know what I mean. But I try and post as much as I can. I usually post more on the Gridiron Dynasty section though right now.

But Ill try and post more just for you S-Dubb

I hear ya. I remember seeing somwhere around 60 people viewing the board at one point during day 1 of the draft with minor activity on the boards. It would be nice to hear other people's opinions on the Jets moves. That is the reason why we come to a message board in the first place. But I also agree with some of the other posts. I went hopping across Jets boards and most have threads that are fodder. At least here, there is minimal fodder floating around the board. That's what I like about this site. That and the fact that you can preview the post just by putting the mouse on the thread subject. That feature f'n rules.

I have one piece of advice about something I think you said, S-Dubb, somewhere in this thread. There were multiple threads about the same subject that wind up pushing other threads off the first page to never be seen again. When this happens, the mods should merge them together. I see it a bunch, especially with times like the draft where members will post the same thread at basically the same time. So it's not there fault that it happened. And I know that the mods do merge threads sometimes. It probably could have happened a little more this past weekend for the draft.

My post of the day.

I've been reading for a few years but i rarely ever post. It's not that i'm not interested, but it seems that a few of the regulars pretty much cover all the perspectives of different topics and theirs no need for redundant posts. I usually only go into "post mode" when someone says something that really riles me up. But keep up the good work to all of you who post everyday! drinks.gif

Hey guys.
I may not be the most active person posting comments, but when I do, I try to keep it as much a quality post as possible. I'm also on every other day or so just to read up on info and everyones opinions, and I'm not much a person that goes into chats.

I enjoy reading the information and opinions everyone posts, but as a full-time college student and having a full-time job where I run 2 small businesses I can't always keep up with everything. I'm really an all-out sports fanatic, The NY Rangers and the Yankees are my other teams, and I try to stay updated on everything about them too. When the season comes around I'll definitely post more, but for now my main attention is watching the Rangers comeback in this series against the Pens.
