I'm home sick for the second straight day and was wondering if anyone wanted to talk Jets or anything else for that matter.

Sorry to hear that man. Today was probably the worst Jets day I've had in a while. Every article on the clippings section of the Jets website are awful. Franchise tags, teamates saying Chad should be cut, Mawae saying he wont take a paycut, Chad saying he wont take a paycut, finding out Sowell is gone and Kendall too. These are all the same guys that I used to think cared about the team and now they are turning their backs on us. And you know they realize their actions will destroy this team.

I agree, this boat doesn't seem to be sailing on straight seas. With all these reports coming after a miserable, boring day at school, he's not like this is cheery. These were the face of the Jets, this is like Joe Namath, Joe Klecko, Wayne Chrebet, and Curtis Martin leaving the team at once.

Dude, that's still bad. After all the pain that Mawae and Chad have played through, they're asked to take a pay cut, and they should have their heads chopped off? Remember, people are people, if I asked you to give back more than 80% of your hard earned money, would you a smile flash on your face?

You got a point, but 1 million dollars a year is a hell of a lot of money. So how can you feel sorry for these guys. Chad Pennington and Kevin Mawae are elite football players AND people. But its not like they have to get a smaller house or get a 2nd job. Know what I mean?

You make a good point there, but the thing is, maybe they just don't want to be on our team. You have to admit, the Jets are gonna suck next year, no telling, so go on a new team with all that money still in your wallet. And from what I hear, Mawae hasn't even been approached to take a pay cut yet, it was a BS media story. So maybe there still is hope............

We had a great run in th 04 season and were in the AFC Champion ship game pretty much, I mean we would of been thier if it was'nt for Doug I hate very much Brien. I think we can bounce back this year and if we don't make the playoffs be at least 9-7.

That's a good point, and a reason Chad wants and probably needs (for himself) to stay. But I think 9-7 is VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY optimistic.

Like the same as last year, maybe a game better or worse. Remember, our offensive line is being redone, 2 of our 3 best defensive players last year are going, and we may lose Chad.

But remember WE STILL GOT VILMA!!!! And shaun ellis and justin mIller who can get more Exp. this year and we will still have a good D dont worry about that it still be in the top of the nfl at least in the top 15 it just depends on our Offence and how well it can produce if we do get a QB like Jay Cutler. but think if we get a QB like Drew Brees or Rivers i think we can go 9-7 cause we got some players on offence like Coles give him a QB and he will give you a 1400 yard season im telling you and he can get double digit TDs so we can do good we just need a QB..

I know we still have Vilma, that was the other player, LOL. I think our defense will be OK, but we still lost some good players.
But we need alot of linemen and a QB, and another WR. Then I think our offense will flourish, along with a good RB.

I think we should hold off on runningback 1 more year and see if Adrian petterson from Oklahoma sooners Declares if he does we try to draft him because he is a workhorse and i think thats what type of back we need a work horse like Curtis was... and yea i think we should consider sinorce moss in the second round to give us that speed reciever we need..
