SecondHandJets Icon : (24 May 2013 - 09:25 PM) I've read a ton of articles and all had him as the favorite
SecondHandJets Icon : (24 May 2013 - 09:25 PM) Who was the favorite then?
SecondHandJets Icon : (24 May 2013 - 09:27 PM) "Smith was already going to be on most Heisman preseason lists, but a 407-yard, 6-TD performance in the Orange Bowl win over Clemson only solidified him as an elite passer. He can make every throw on the field and has a plethora of talented receivers coming back. Since this team will likely be playing in the Big 12, which has had the uncanny knack for inflating quarterback numbers recently, Smith and head coach Dana Holgorsen are going to leave opposing defenses charred and crippled on most Saturdays."
SecondHandJets Icon : (24 May 2013 - 09:27 PM) That's from a Jan 2012 article
SecondHandJets Icon : (24 May 2013 - 09:27 PM) You can google shit from 14 months ago and find a f*** ton of these

SecondHandJets Icon : (24 May 2013 - 09:32 PM) He was 4th according to Vegas odds in April 2012
Jetsman05 Icon : (24 May 2013 - 09:53 PM) 4th makes him the favorite?
Jetsman05 Icon : (24 May 2013 - 09:53 PM) you said he was the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (24 May 2013 - 09:53 PM) he wasn't anything near the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (24 May 2013 - 09:54 PM) he reached his pinnacle in the heisman race in the early part of last season
Jetsman05 Icon : (24 May 2013 - 09:54 PM) at that point he was the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (24 May 2013 - 09:56 PM) also, what a basketball game

MikeGangGree... Icon : (24 May 2013 - 10:21 PM) maybe the pacers are that good
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 12:36 AM) I said that his time last year, he was the favorite. I misspoke. He was 3rd or 4th. He certainly wasn't "not even in the 2nd tier" like you claimed
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 12:36 AM) Take your medicine Matty
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 12:36 AM) Maybe you should watch more college football instead of talking about watching college football
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:46 AM) No he wasn't 3rd or 4th
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:47 AM) He was the 4th favorite in vegas, making him no where near the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:47 AM) Barkley had 3/2 odds, Geno was 9-1
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:48 AM) It's whatever
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 10:50 AM) Manish leaving jets beat
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 10:51 AM) About time
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 11:22 AM) Was he "not even in the 2nd tier"? No. STFU
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:25 AM) Was he the favorite?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:26 AM) Or even close to the favorite?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:27 AM) Nice Manish leaving? Good shit
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:43 AM) SHJ, your boy EJ leads a very sad life

U never know which players are going to get injured and what not. But yea we are going to need a real good home record if we want to contend.

It is very early and we know that teams that are supposed to be good can really suck. Still, that schedule looks pretty tough, especially on the road. It seems like the Jets have been a better road team than home team for the last 5 years though. So much can change from now until when they play each team, so it's kind of hard to discuss schedules now.

IMO its not that bad, i think we can make the playoffs again: i think were about even with the chiefs so that ones gonna be a hard game,(but we could maybe get the edge depending on what happens with tony gonzalez this off season), the browns, steelers, redskins, dolphins and bills i think we can all beat, and one of the pats games again i think we can win, and the eagles game i think is gonna be a tough game too but i think we could win it. the cowboys i think its up in the air, if TO leaves it gives us a wee bit of an advantage i think, giants will either have a new coach and no tiki or coughlin and no tiki so i think we can win that one most likely, still isnt farfetched though taht we would lose to them, and the titans i think we can beat. away dolphins bills and pats games r up in the air i think, pats we could MAYBE, if were lucky pull away with another W but im leaning towards them in one of the 2 match ups.

I would not worry too much about the Giants, Dallas,( the NFC was so weak this year) and Tenn . on the road, the games we need to win next year are the Bengals on the road(gives us leeway for a bad loss) and the Eagles, and Steelers. I can't see KC beating us -Herm against Mangini- Hello, You play to kick a field goal! Early prediction is 10-6 with an outside shot at 11-5. Hopefully next year it isn't Mangini v. Bellidouche in the playoffs round 1.

i wouldn't worry about the ginats since they were a crappy 8-8 and their losing bareber. but dallas with romo having more exp, 2 good WRs in TO and glenn, and a good defense and run game could be tough. and tennesse has a bright young defense and vince young. plus they were 7-2 in there last 9 games
