its the end of the yankee empire in my book. the yanks drifted too far away from the pre 2000 teams and faced the truth the hard way, you have to build a team, not a roster of overpaid former all stars to win in baseball.

They're closer than the Tigers were 3 years ago. beach.gif

If A-Rod goes to the D-Rays...that will be huge. Players will start to sign with Tampa , knowing that they are on the uprise. Kinda like remember when Ivan Rodriguez signed with the Tigers who lossed 119 games the year before? Now look. Tampa Bay has a good young pitcher they can build around named Scott Kazmir, A-Rod be huge for them.

I wouldnt count of Kazmir being there too long, I have a feeling that he is not to far away from being a Yankee.

I disagree, they just need to start signing pitchers. They need to get a good rotation.
The Yankees will be back dont worry about that, I think if they sign some good quality pitchers they will win the WS next year, I mean come on the Yankees are going to have that all star lineup coming back next year or atleast almost all of them. Plus A-Rod will either be gone or be out of his slump year.

Don't count on him EVER being a Yankee. He's their franchise. They're going to lock him up.

Atleast Phillies fans no how to successfully put sentences together. This is an unintelligent post if I've ever seen one. You wont win the world series. So all those wins will mean nothing, making the playoffs is all well and good, but if you win the World Series, you fail. You know alot about failure since you obviously do it alot in English class.

Why all the hate for ARod? He isn't as shit as people say he is and he is still better than any other 3B the Yankees have got. If they trade it would be a mistake IMO even though I said earlier they might deal him.

If Philidelphia gets a solid 3rd baseman, and improve thier starting pitching, they can be a ws team.

I say replace Burell with Dulluchi and keep Victorino. Replace Nunez and you have a great lineup with Coste, Howard, Utley, J-Roll, Delluchi, Rowand, and victorino.

Hmm solid 3rd baseman...A-Rod anyone? You need a non pressure situation, the Phillies are the place.
