man.....didnt see this one coming. I've watched a lot of the games this year. The US steamrolled through the warm-up games and the tournament.

good for Greece........but this really sucks. The USA played much better this time around than in the last Olymppics

I love this! I do! And I am the biggest supporter of the USA athletics you'll ever find. But it needs to go back to being a team game, and not just a bunch of allstars thrown together and told to play basketball. There was a reason the NHL All Stars couldn't beat the Soviets in late 70s, but the group of young college kids that had been put together as a team could. Teams win, not players.

I agree!! I'd go even one further. I think the NBA needs to start playing by the international rules. If we expect our players to dominate the world, then we need to start playing by the world's rules. It's not 1992 anymore........ we cant throw Malone, Jordan, Barkley, Bird, Magic and Stockton on a plane and send them to these tournaments.

Again though, the team they put together this year played really well up until Greece. I feel bad for them.

I think there should be an olympic rule where only amatures can play the sports...or have like a 23 and under rule like soccer does....speaking of which, how come they have an age limit rule for soccer, but basketball and hockey can allow anyone? Fuckin bullshit.
