All I know is, they're in trouble next year. Pedros gonna start the year on the DL, Glavine is aging and who knows if he's gonna come back.
The Phillies might have them on the starting rotation with studs like Brett Myers and Cole Hamels...not to mention Lieber who was nothing short of spectacular down the stretch.
We also have the best power hitter in baseball and a very strong line up. We need someone to back Howard though...not to mention we need not Burrell. 3rd base and left field and youre looking at the Fightin Phils as 2007 NL East Champs!

And about next season, its WAY too early to tell who will do what. Lets wait and see who signs where to determine what teams can be elite.
I mean look at this year, the WS has 2 teams 2 teams that limped into the playoffs... 1 no one outside of Michigan and maybe not even there expected (Tigers) and another team who won a whopping 83 games (Cardinals). Baseball is a great game and this is why I love it...The best team never wins, its the team that wants to win the most.
I feel kind of bad for Mets fans to be honest, this was probably their best shot unless they get some starters for next season, but I dont expect the NL to be as weak as it was this season.
As for my Yankees, what can I say..we need good young starters and we also need to start looking for Mariano's future replacement so he can be the setup guy and eventually take the job like Mariano did when Wettland left. Other than that the team is fine. Lets see if we do end up trading Arod. The only trades I would do are Arod for Willis & Cabrera (Marlins) Arod for A.Ramirez & Prior (Cubs) or Arod for D.McPherson, E.Santana, and a prospect (Angels)
But to be honest, I dont want the Yankees to trade Arod. He has alot to prove and I wanna see him try.

its a good world series now
I predict the Tigers in 6 - they have been dominant in postseason play so far whilst the Cards have been slightly erratic and got pushed close by San Diego before taking the Mets to the wire.
Hopefully if the Tigers win the WS they bomb the next season like the Shite Sox allowing the Indians to grap a long overdue AL Central title!

Actually it's a boring one. There is no way I will even bother watching one inning of any of the games.

dont hold ur breathe on that one. i think were gonna be even better if we can stay healthy, yea pedro's gonna be gone for the start of the year but we also will have el duque back and maybe another good starter, and pedro will come back eventually, did u also forget the phillies finished in 2nd and were 13 or 14 games back at the end of it

Abe was actually pretty alright down the stretch..he struggled early.
No I didn't forget...but in the end..we are both now sitting at home watching the World Series. The goal is to win the World Series..you failed and so did we...the difference is it was less heart breaking for us and we paid alot less to do it. Goes to show that you cant buy the World Series anymore. HAHAHAHA get ready for the Cole Hamels era...he's ready to star. Ryan Howard and Chase Utley....already stars. Phils are ready baby!

They had chemistry enough to win as many games as the Mets did in the regular season.

He didn't say the Mets didn't have chemistry, he said the lack of chemistry wasn't the reason the Yanks lost.
