ganggreen2003 Icon : (Today, 12:03 PM) we need to get rid of Sanchez
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Today, 12:04 PM) he's a completely weak-minded individual
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Today, 12:04 PM) already back to doing what he did last season THROWING INT's
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Today, 12:04 PM) sucks that Garrard retired but I'd rather suffer with Geno going through growing pains than keeping Sanchez under center in 2013
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 12:33 PM) haha gg03 throwing in the towel on sanch!
mgjetman Icon : (Today, 01:37 PM) What a way to make sporrts center already, Mark......
mgjetman Icon : (Today, 01:39 PM) Sanch owns the #1 blooper of all time with that butt fumble also and to make matters worse he threw it right to a friggin Pat...
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 01:53 PM) buttfumble on thanksgiving was the low point of his career
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 01:55 PM) Teammates talking shut about Sanchez
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 02:11 PM) In case you haven't heard, because why would anyone report on the Giants, Nicks is also holding out
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 02:11 PM) That makes both Cruz and Nicks.
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 02:11 PM) But who cares, Sanchez threw 3 "interceptions"!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 02:59 PM) ?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 02:59 PM) why would we give a f*** about the Giants?
santana Icon : (Today, 03:04 PM) gg03 jimmies are riled
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 03:21 PM) You're not in NY. All the backpages are focused on Sanchez
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 03:21 PM) None of the NY media even mention Cruz or Nicks
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 03:40 PM) nicks isn't holding out. he's injured still and taking it easy. cruz is holding out. why it isn't a big ordeal IDK. it would be for us
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 04:02 PM) maybe because theyre not that far off.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 04:02 PM) Cruz wants to return back, they'll figure it out.
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 04:41 PM) 3 mil a year off or 30% less then cruz wants. tahst alot of money to be off
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 04:41 PM) cruz doens't want to leave NY cause teh extra money he'll get in endorsements plus he knows taht they can RFA him this year and then Franchise next year so he might not be able to get a LTD for 3 years
Mr_Jet Icon : (Today, 05:21 PM) Clemens11/Tebow15 (soon to be Smith7) said if we had just drafted Crabtree and Nicks and kept Clemens, we'd be good.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 06:44 PM) No, he can't be Smith7
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 06:44 PM) his name is reserved for garbage QBs, we don't want Geno to be bad
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 06:44 PM) He can be McElroy14
extmenace Icon : (Today, 06:51 PM) we're taking bridgewater next year with the number 1 pick and treating geno like a jimmy clausen.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 06:53 PM) What makes Bridgewater better than Geno?
HurricaneJet32 Icon : (Today, 07:12 PM) everything
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 07:56 PM) ^
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:16 PM) college players always get hyped up before the draft process, just wondering what makes him so much better.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 08:19 PM) Stronger arm, plays in a pro system, better throwing motion, better athlete
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 08:19 PM) there's probably nothing Geno does right now that's better than what Teddy does

Why Titan-ic battle won't go Jets' way
November 22, 2008

Welcome to Armageddon, Part II: The Jets’ second season-defining game in a 10-day span.

It hasn’t generated as much juice as Jets-Patriots, but Jets-Titans, in some ways, is every bit as significant as last week’s epic showdown in Foxborough.

The Jets match up pretty well against the undefeated Titans, so I think there’s very little chance of them bombing as much as, say, Jane McManus’ choice of Indian food for the press corps on “Catered Thursday.” (Rookie mistake by the Journal News beat writer, I suppose.) On the other hand, I don’t think the Jets will have enough to beat the Titans.

Five reasons why the Titans will win:

1. Albert Haynesworth. The Jets won’t be able to block the 6-6, 320-monster in the middle of the Titans’ defensive line. There will be no inside running game, and the Jets will be faced with too many third-and-longs.

2. The Tennessee Pick Police. Neither team will be able to run effectively, which will put the pressure on the passing games. The Titans lead the league with 15 interceptions, which doesn’t bode well for Brett Favre.

3. Bo Knows How to Get Open. The Titans’ leading receiver is the under-rated TE Bo Scaife, and the Jets are having coverage issues with the tight end. Here’s a suggestion: Instead of using S Kerry Rhodes to help the No. 2 CB (probably Ty Law), why not put him on Scaife? Rhodes has the athleticism to cover the tight end.

4. Noise and Sacks. The Titans’ formidable pass rush is very formidable at LP Field, where things can turn rather chaotic for the visiting team. The Titans have 18 sacks in five home games, 10 in five road games. When the crowd gets going, it’s very difficult for the offense to call audibles and change blocking schemes.

5. Agony of Da Feet. I wish I could give a good explanation for this, but opposing kickers always seem to have a tough time against the Titans. Opponents are only 9-for-16 in field goals while the Titans are 18-for-21. This is going to be a close, low-scoring game, and a field goal could mean the difference. And I have a bad feeling about Jay Feely this week.

Albert Haynesworth is a load. The guy is beast! true!.. however, Mangold has been going Jenks in practice. I think he'll have a good idea on how to block Haynesworth. He won't be alone though. Albert will be doubled often. I think because so much focus will be on Haynesworth, I think the real story will be on Woody and Bricks to block Kearse and Vandenboch.

This scares me because possessions will be at a preimum today. If Favre limits them we'll be OK. You know the ladder.

We have to get better VS pass PERIOD!!.. hopefully Mangini will stop getting soft between the 20's and play more aggressive.

We should send Cimmifag that photo!
Fifteen years ago after an especially disappointing loss to Miami, Esiason, then the Jets' quarterback, was making the seven-mile drive from the Meadowlands back to Manhattan.
While he was slogging through stop-and-go traffic at the entrance to the Lincoln Tunnel, the car next to him was violently rear-ended. The quarterback threw his car into park, hopped out and ran to the woman whose car had been hit. She was wearing, of all things, an Esiason jersey, and was utterly shocked when he tapped on her window to check on her.
"Are you OK?" he said, trying to keep calm. "Are you OK?"
"Boomer? Is that you?" she asked the Good Samaritan, sounding disoriented. "I think I'm OK, but . ... "
But what?
"But you guys sucked."
Welcome to the New York Jets, Tim Tebow.
