Tough draw for the USA being in the same group as the Czechs and the Italians. It maybe very difficult to advance to the round of 16. I cant wait til it all starts.

If the US play as well as they did last time they could get through because when Italy and the Czech Republic play, if either team wins it will be tough for the other team to get through.
Don't count Ghana out either.
You guys got the hardest draw along with Holland and Argentina's group.
England got an easy group but will face a team from Germany's group in the round of 16 and I'm praying we avoid Germany over here.
Good luck to the USA anyway

Good predictions.

For me the pnly differences would be I see Ukraine over Tunisia in Group H - Ukraine are an underdog and I think were one of the 1st European teams to qualify.
Also I think Portugal will go through in Group D but one of Mexico and Iran will go through and that Croatia will get through instead of Japan.
JetsOhFive, I like your pick of the Czechs over Italy. Italy never do well in big competitions - last year in the European championships they were poor and the Czech Republic were one of the better teams. The Czechs may even have a team capable of going deep in the tournament.
The US have a good chance of going through as I said earlier and could make some noise.
The winner next year though I think will be out of Germany, Holland, Argentina and Brazil. These are 4 very good teams and I predict someone else other than Brazil will lift the cup next year although Brazil should make the semi final at least.

I think Italy is very overrated and as you said, they don't do well in competitions. I also think that the Czech team is one of the top 3 teams in the world behind the always powerful Brazil and Argentina squads.

I have some questions for anyone who wants to answer.

1. Will anyone knock off the defending champs Brazil?

2. Who will be the surprise team?

1. Germany, Argentina and Holland have the best chance in my opinion to knock off Brazil.

2. Ghana, Ivory Coast or Czech Republic

Fifa has the Czechs ranked at #2 in the world behind the obvios Brazil. If they go deep thats not really a surprise.

It will be to the public and media though as when coming up with a list of the best teams in the world people don't automatically think of the Czechs. They aren't an obvious name as a choice to win it all as they are a small country in soccer terms - their domestic league isnt special and the Czechs haven't done much in previous World Cups.
