Do you guys think he would be a good OLB in our 3-4 system?

I doubt he hits the open market as I think Chicago will tie him up but I don't think he'd be the best 3-4 OLB as most successful OLBs in the 3-4 are around the 260lb mark whereas Briggs is only 240lbs.

I don't think so either. We need to get bigger up front and he has baggage because he's a 4-3 linebacker

He would be a ILB in the 3-4, he would be a good fit though, because he is a tackle machine and is big. He is a absolute beast, Ive seen him make more plays then Urlacher in the playoffs! This guy is going to ask for a monster contract, hes worth it though, hes a top 5 OLB in the game.

NO it's not his game, he a 4-3 cover slb, he can't play either olb or ilb in the 3-4 he doesn't like to fight with blocker he more of a run freely kind of guy.

Thanks for the Memories

But do we need to pay big for an ILB when we already have Vilma, Barton and possibly Hobson as ILBs? Granted he is a bit of an upgrade over Barton and Hobson but you have to think economically: for the contract he will command he will be an extremely expensive slight upgrade over two solid players.
