Jets are doing jets related things also... THE KNICKS.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:48 AM) better athlete but never runs as well
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:48 AM) stronger arm but rarely throws deep
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:48 AM) I am trying to find this article, but Bridgewater had about the least amount of 40+ throws in college football
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:49 AM) I wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't viewed as highly next year. College players always get hyped up a year before the draft process. People change their opinions quickly.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 07:56 AM) I'll put a good amount of money that Bridgewater is still highly regarded coming out next year.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:00 AM) ok I found the chart
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:00 AM) Bridgewater had 0% of his passes go 40+ yards in college
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:02 AM) he could be, I'll wait though
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:02 AM) I doubt Smith will be as bad as Clausen anyways
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:03 AM) I remember watching Clausen in a NFL game and the guy couldn't even throw a spiral.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:03 AM) Geno has been impressing teammates with how well he can spin the ball and sling it.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 08:31 AM) I hope Geno turns out to be a f***ing monster
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 10:52 AM) andrew luck was hyped up for like 3 years before he entered teh draft
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 11:34 AM) tehhhh
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 11:37 AM) it wasn't for 3 years and Andrew Luck is the best QB prospect to come out in years. Teddy Bridgewater most likely isn't Luck or RGIII
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 11:40 AM) I've only seen Bridgewater play once. That was against Florida, I actually watched that game.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 12:12 PM) Teddy will be a good NFL QB I think
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Today, 12:52 PM) THE KNICKS
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 01:21 PM) THE. KNICKS.
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 02:43 PM) Geno was the favorite to win the Heisman this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 02:44 PM) He was also a Top 5 pick this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 02:44 PM) If he came out in 2012, he might have gotten drafted before RG3
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 02:56 PM) TEH KNICKS
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 03:25 PM) noway he would have been drafted before RGIII
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Today, 04:00 PM) Tehhhh
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 04:12 PM) chuck norris said tebow is a great QB. i'm so conflicted becuase tebow sucks but on the other hand if chuck norris said it, it must be true lol
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 09:21 PM) Geno was not the favorite to win the heisman going into the year lol
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 09:21 PM) you don't watch college football, stop
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 09:23 PM) He might not even of been in the second tier of players
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 09:25 PM) I've read a ton of articles and all had him as the favorite
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 09:25 PM) Who was the favorite then?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 09:27 PM) "Smith was already going to be on most Heisman preseason lists, but a 407-yard, 6-TD performance in the Orange Bowl win over Clemson only solidified him as an elite passer. He can make every throw on the field and has a plethora of talented receivers coming back. Since this team will likely be playing in the Big 12, which has had the uncanny knack for inflating quarterback numbers recently, Smith and head coach Dana Holgorsen are going to leave opposing defenses charred and crippled on most Saturdays."
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 09:27 PM) That's from a Jan 2012 article
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 09:27 PM) You can google shit from 14 months ago and find a f*** ton of these

SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 09:32 PM) He was 4th according to Vegas odds in April 2012
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 09:53 PM) 4th makes him the favorite?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 09:53 PM) you said he was the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 09:53 PM) he wasn't anything near the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 09:54 PM) he reached his pinnacle in the heisman race in the early part of last season
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 09:54 PM) at that point he was the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 09:56 PM) also, what a basketball game
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Today, 10:21 PM) 4 point game

Kind of dumb but here are the Jets that are getting love by fans.

Brett Favre is the leading QB in fan votes for AFC.

Nick Mangold is in 3rd right now in fan votes, should be in there with Mawae IMO.

D'Brickashaw Ferguson is #2 in fan votes right now, surprises me that fans would vote for him but its a pleasant surprise.

Alan Faneca is the leading OG in AFC votes. By a LARGE margin

Kris Jenkins is 4th in fans votes, completely retarded.

Kerry Rhodes is 4th in fan votes.........

Leon Washington is 4th in fan votes..........

Thomas JOnes isn't top5. Darrelle Revis isn't top 5 in votes either.....

Just so you know, a guy name Ryan Clark is ahead of Rhodes in probowl votes...........

GUYS GET VOTING!!!!!

I hate fan voting. nobady watches the pro-bowl so why bother voting for the players who start? There are bonuses and incentives riding on some players ability to make this roster, but do fans get to decide that? Moreover I don't think we need to worry about Revis, Jenkins and Washington, they should get selected as backups or however players get put in outside of fan balloting.

I vote 2-3 times a week for NFL Pro-Bowl, but I like how NFL Probowl means nothing because if it was big like how MLB's is, itd suck

Fan are idiots!!!

I ways always under the impression that the players and coaches votes are the ones that truly count. After that it seems like seniority.

i mean we have some great players that should be pro bowlers but really who cares. the pro bowl is the most meaningless game of all the all star games in all of sports. We dont get the exposure that we should be getting ewven when we have a good season. how many times has cleveland been on prime time his season? like atleast 3 times now. That jets pats game should have been a monday nighter and if it was more people could have seen the talent we have. Rhodes and Revis should have been there the past 2 seasons ayways. if we dont get any starters in the pro bowl im gonna be really pissed. Watch tennessee have like 8 people in it

Huh? WTF.gif
This is only Revis' second year so how could he have made the probowl in 06?
Anyway I disagree with it anyway.Rhodes had a down year last year and Revis still had some rookie mistakes last year.Rookies rarely make it anyway unless they really stand out.A good year is not the same as a Pro Bowl year.Plus alot of times if a team has a poor record (4-12)the chances of a player on that team going to a Probowl are drastically reduced. He should have definitely made it in 2006.He got screwed that year
Year Team GP GS Tackles Solo Sacks INT PD FF
2005 Jets 16 16 100 80 1.0 1 7 1
2006 Jets 16 16 92 69 5.0 4 13 3
2007 Jets 16 16 68 52 2.0 5 10 2
2008 Jets 10 10 48 38 1.0 1 4 0
Totals 58 58 308 239 9.0 11 34 6

By the way off hand I think the fans get a third of the votes so they definitely count. It really doesnt matter whether we watch the game or not.It is a reward for for the players for effort and success on the field so if you dont give a crap whether players make the Pro Bowl then you arent very good fans in my book.It means alot to the players to make a Pro Bowl

How is AFC East faring in Pro Bowl votes?

November 18, 2008 7:28 PM

Posted by ESPN.com's Tim Graham

Brett Favre is the AFC's most popular quarterback in balloting for the Pro Bowl.

Favre ranks third among all NFL players with 402,514 votes in fan-based balloting, which continues until Dec. 9. Fan balloting counts for one-third of the process, with players and coaches also helping decide who goes to Honolulu.

Among AFC East players, what I found most interesting about the early returns is the dearth of Buffalo Bills among the top five at the various positions. Bills fans are passionate, especially when their team is winning, and online balloting began Oct. 13.

Here are the position-by-position results and how AFC East players rank within the conference:

Quarterback
1. Brett Favre, Jets (402,514)
Comment: He has almost 94,000 more votes than second-place Jay Cutler.

Running back
1. Ronnie Brown, Dolphins (284,794)
4. Marshawn Lynch, Bills (154,637)
Comment: The Wildcat has helped propel Brown to prominence, but he's deserving without gadgets.

Fullback
3. Tony Richardson, Jets (70,237)
Comment: LeRon McClain of the Ravens is first with about 25,000 more votes.

Wide receiver
4. Randy Moss, Patriots (188,138)
Comment: Strictly on reputation. Jets receivers Laveranues Coles and Jerricho Cotchery are having seasons every bit as good.

Tight end
None.
Comment: That's understandable, given the number of play-makers at this position in the conference.

Center
3. Nick Mangold, Jets (94,063)
Comment: Surprising not to see Pro Bowler Dan Koppen among the top five.

Guard
1. Alan Faneca, Jets (165,610)
4. Derrick Dockery, Bills (61,449)
Comment: Perennial Pro Bowler drawing votes from two fan bases. Pro Bowler Logan Mankins conspicuously missing.

Tackle
1. Jake Long, Dolphins (108,943)
2. D'Brickashaw Ferguson, Jets (95,675)
3. Matt Light, Patriots (80,270)
Comment: Nice representation for the AFC East. Fittingly, the only one missing is Pro Bowler Jason Peters, who unsuccessfully held out for a new contract and has struggled.

Defensive end
None.
Comment: No Richard Seymour?

Defensive tackle
3. Marcus Stroud, Bills (80,981)
4. Kris Jenkins, Jets (74,343)
Comment: Jenkins deserves a higher ranking, but you can't argue with Albert Haynesworth being first with 206,925 votes.

Outside linebacker
1. Joey Porter, Dolphins (151,463)
Comment: He's leading the NFL with 13.5 sacks.

Inside linebacker
4. Tedy Bruschi, Patriots (49,780)
Comment: That rookie Jerod Mayo isn't ahead of Bruschi ought to be a crime.

Cornerback
None.
Comment: Darrelle Revis is being victimized by some big names ahead of him, but the coaches and players will notice.

Strong safety
4. Donte Whitner, Bills (19,686)
5. Yeremiah Bell, Dolphins (16,721)
Comment: Troy Polamalu is untouchable with 178,764 votes.

Free safety
4. Kerry Rhodes, Jets (33,900)
Comment: Ed Reed is way out in front with 133,666 votes.

Kicker
None.
Comment: Strange. Stephen Gostkowski leads the AFC in scoring with 91 points. Jay Feely has made several big kicks, but Mike Nugent represents the Jets on the ballot.

Punter
4. Brian Moorman, Bills (37,407)
Comment: It's close at a position that generates few votes.

Kick returner
4. Leon Washington, Jets (43,202)
5. Roscoe Parrish, Bills (34,913)
Comment: Darren Sproles has almost twice as many votes as Washington.

Special teamer
2. Larry Izzo, Patriots (43,462)
3. Patrick Cobbs, Dolphins (41,895)
Comment: Balloting is tight. Izzo is only about 3,500 votes behind the Steelers' Anthony Madison.

VOTE FOR LEON!!!!!!!!!

A look at the AFC East in Pro Bowl balloting

November 25, 2008 5:23 PM

Posted by ESPN.com's Tim Graham

New York Jets quarterback Brett Favre continues to be the AFC's most popular quarterback in balloting for the Pro Bowl.

Favre ranks third among all NFL players with 525,825 votes in fan balloting, which continues until Dec. 9. Fans account for one-third of the process, with players and coaches also helping decide who goes to Honolulu.

Here are the position-by-position tallies of where AFC East players rank within the conference:

Quarterback
1. Brett Favre, Jets (525,825 votes)
Comment: He has about 152,000 more votes than second-place Jay Cutler.

Running back
1. Ronnie Brown, Dolphins (346,059)
4. Marshawn Lynch, Bills (181,613)
Comment: Tennessee Titans rookie Chris Johnson is behind Brown by about 36,000 votes.

Fullback
3. Tony Richardson, Jets (95,559)
Comment: Richardson still third, but he's closing the gap a bit on LeRon McClain, about 22,000 votes ahead.

Wide receiver
4. Randy Moss, Patriots (235,279)
Comment: Moss finally had a Pro Bowl-worthy game with three touchdowns against Miami. He trails first-place Brandon Marshall by 50,000 votes.

Tight end
None.
Comment: No AFC East tight end should be in the top five.

Center
3. Nick Mangold, Jets (126,938)
Comment: Mangold is hopelessly way behind Kevin Mawae and Jeff Saturday.

Guard
1. Alan Faneca, Jets (215,134)
5. Logan Mankins (74,936)
Comment: Bills guard Derrick Dockery falls out of the fourth spot, while Mankins deservedly debuts in the top five.

Tackle
1. Jake Long, Dolphins (137,556)
2. D'Brickashaw Ferguson, Jets (125,602)
3. Matt Light, Patriots (100,824)
Comment: Again, the only AFC East left tackle not in the top five is former Pro Bowler Jason Peters.

Defensive end
None.
Comment: Still no Richard Seymour?

Defensive tackle
4. Kris Jenkins, Jets (105,282)
5. Marcus Stroud, Bills (93,589)
Comment: Stroud slips from third to fifth, while Jenkins rises from fourth to third. Albert Haynesworth has more then twice as many votes as second-place Casey Hampton with 263,064 votes.

Outside linebacker
1. Joey Porter, Dolphins (198,283)
Comment: Chatty sackmaster has about 42,000 more voted than second-place James Harrison.

Inside linebacker
4. Tedy Bruschi, Patriots (60,658)
5. Jerod Mayo, Patriots (52,290)
Comment: Rookie of the Year candidate Mayo debuts on the list and deserves to finish higher than Bruschi. Regardless, Ray Lewis is uncatchable.

Cornerback
None.
Comment: Darrelle Revis is being overlooked because of such big names as Champ Bailey and Cortland Finnegan.

Strong safety
4. Yeremiah Bell, Dolphins (22,977)
5. Donte Whitner, Bills (22,945)
Comment: Bell and Whitner switch positions on the list. Whitner's shoulder injury is keeping him off the field and certainly will affect his votes. Troy Polamalu is in first by a large margin.

Free safety
4. Kerry Rhodes, Jets (46,198)
Comment: Ed Reed is way out in front with more than three times as many votes as Rhodes.

Kicker
5. Dan Carpenter, Dolphins (50,793)
Comment: Stephen Gostkowski is tied for the NFL lead with 103 points and can't get any Pro Bowl love.

Punter
3. Brian Moorman, Bills (44,599)
Comment: Moorman moves up from fourth and is only 22,000 votes behind leader Shane Lechler.

Kick returner
2. Leon Washington, Jets (63,709)
Comment: Washington jumps up from fourth but still is 25,000 votes from Darren Sproles. Bills specialist Roscoe Parrish falls out of fifth.

Special teamer
2. Patrick Cobbs, Dolphins (55,894)
3. Larry Izzo, Patriots (43,462)
Comment: Cobbs and Izzo flip-flop spots. Cobbs is only about 4,000 votes behind Anthony Madison.

I cannot talk about the pro bowl because it really ticks me off to a point where I want to start pissing on random fans.

The ONLY reason Brick is leading is because his name is catchy and since Ogden retired they just look at a team with a good OL and say hey!.. D-bricka-shaw. He gets my vote! rtfm.gif

How is Darren f*ckin Sproles leading in votes?, how?.. where?... when? and why? I mean how is that even possible. Fans suck!.. Leon leads the entire league with all purpose yards. Darren Sproles couldn't hold Leons jock strap!

Kris muthafuckin Jenkins at 4? I really can't comment on this without losing it!

Oh man.. I am DONE!!!

We should have around 7 players invited to play. Farve, Mangold, Faneca, D'Brick, Jenks, Rhodes, Revis. I can not ever remember the jets having more than 3, maybe 4. The game sucks but the honor shows a lot about the team. Leon could make it 8 for special teams.
