Because the guy is 23 years old. When a team is rebuilding they don't toss out the entire team, they drop several guys and go for youth in that area. Willis is very young and very talented and they won't get rid of him.

Josh Beckett is injured too frequently and they traded him for salary reasons and to get some prospects. Dontrelle Willis wont have the same fate. Once again they're not going to get rid of all their players for all new ones. They need to keep some talent from before.

Well, as shown by Willis three years in the major league, it shows that he is very inconsistent. He had a great start to his first season, and barely won, if any in the second half of his first season. His second season was always a problem, I believe he went .500 that season. His third season, was obviously his best. So who knows what Willis will do next season, with this baseball. The only games they will win we be when Willis pitches.

Beckett is exactly like Chad Pennington, he is the best pitcher in the major league when healthy, but since he is always injured, he can never be that damn good.

This is happening because the Marlins owner is losing a lot of money every year, and without a stadium, they will continue to lose more money thanks to the Dolphags' owner Wayne Huipinga.

yea, and another thing that wont happen is d-train to the yankees. The Marlins are building the team around willis and cabrera, it has to do w/ stadium issues and all that, but ah well, takes a contender out of the NL East. Thanks for about 50 HR's and 160 RBI's! Cant wait to play you! lol
