santana Icon : (13 June 2016 - 09:28 AM) Update on the #Jets situation with Ryan Fitzpatrick: Nothing. … Just nothing. Doesn't seem like things will change heading into minicamp.
Jetsfan115 Icon : (13 June 2016 - 10:39 AM) yeah every day i check for an update and every day, nothing
vjdbbq Icon : (14 June 2016 - 05:43 AM) Where's Rob and his ass ?
Mario Icon : (20 June 2016 - 06:21 PM) Any Jets fan in the Kansas city, Missouri area, that will be going to the game on the 25th of September?
vjdbbq Icon : (22 June 2016 - 07:29 AM) No Mario ; you will be there alone .
MikeGangGree... Icon : (25 June 2016 - 07:15 PM) FIRE FITZPATRICK

ganggreen2003 Icon : (15 July 2016 - 04:06 PM) The JETS shouldn't of signed wilkerson to such a big contract
ganggreen2003 Icon : (15 July 2016 - 04:07 PM) he doesn't deserve $17 mil/year cause he is coming off an injury...he should of earned it by playing this year as the Franchise tag and then if he played lights out then you open the vault
MikeGangGree... Icon : (15 July 2016 - 04:21 PM) WOOOOOOOO
RetireChrebet Icon : (15 July 2016 - 04:58 PM) How much guaranteed money? also does this mean hes here for 6 years since he's tagged? how does that work?
MikeGangGree... Icon : (15 July 2016 - 10:20 PM) Now cut that street thug Wilkerson!!
NJAzrael71 Icon : (16 July 2016 - 03:47 AM) 54 million guaranteed
NJAzrael71 Icon : (16 July 2016 - 03:48 AM) 54 guaranteed against injury but 37 in straight guaranteed money without injury
NJAzrael71 Icon : (16 July 2016 - 03:49 AM) Should've waited till after the season to see how he comes off the injury but I guess they figure he wouldn't have signed if they waited another year
vjdbbq Icon : (17 July 2016 - 07:32 PM) Where is ROB and his ass ?
Jetsfan115 Icon : (18 July 2016 - 10:27 AM) guess that means richardson is gone after this season. Maybe we can franchise and trade him
Jetsman05 Icon : (22 July 2016 - 08:52 AM) whos running fantasy football league this year? brotana?
Jetsfan115 Icon : (22 July 2016 - 10:25 AM) darron lee still isn't signed... greedy street thug lol
MikeGangGree... Icon : (22 July 2016 - 05:31 PM) Rich is under contract for next year and we used a team option for 17 already so he's a jet for 2 more year's for sure unless we trade him.
MikeGangGree... Icon : (23 July 2016 - 02:38 PM) We need to quit screwing around and sign Fitzpatrick
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (24 July 2016 - 11:34 AM) Jets salary cap situation is tough next season, gonna have to make adjustments
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (24 July 2016 - 11:35 AM) the contract for Wilkerson is actually pretty good for both sides, after the first couple seasons nothing is guaranteed and they can cut him.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (24 July 2016 - 11:36 AM) the jets probably should trade Richardson, hopefully he has a monster season and we have tons of leverage and deal him off for ransom
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (24 July 2016 - 11:36 AM) Because we cannot afford to keep everyone on the DL
Jetsfan115 Icon : (25 July 2016 - 10:20 AM) we have 20 mil in space next offseason and not many people to sign. We should be ok next year. this year was worse. we could tag and trade richardson if need be. I think he will be gone too
vjdbbq Icon : (Yesterday, 07:28 AM) WE NEED FITZ WE NEED FITZ WE NEED FITZ
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Yesterday, 09:51 AM) Yes we do need Fitz
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 10:58 AM) devin hester got cut by ATL today, anyone think we should grab him for special teams?
vjdbbq Icon : (Yesterday, 01:56 PM) Grab hester immediately
vjdbbq Icon : (Yesterday, 01:56 PM) GM Mike , GET HESTER

Honestly, I wouldn't mind if the Jets got Cutler trading the first rounder. There are plenty of WR's in this draft (so I'm reading) and it makes sense considering there's no other proven commodity on this roster at QB. Cutler is not Farve; he's got a great arm and doesn't make bad throws into traffic and deliberately try to screw things up. With the improvements on defense and the weapons already on offense, Cutler makes this team a force in the AFC overnight. I say go for it!

there are plenty of wr's, however, all the best ones will be gone by the end of the first and then if we had an early 2nd id agree with you but we dont, we have a late 2nd round pick. Even with how deep the draft is at wr, picking late 2nd round wont get us the guy we want to be our #1 for years to come. Might get us someone good, but hed be best as a #2 or slot most likely. So although theres depth, there is also plenty of teams willing to snag them earlier than we could unless we traded up, which if we trade a 1st and a 3rd wed have no chance to do.

Exactly, and then they will start Cutler at QB, with Stafford playing the Number 1 WR and Calvin Johnson as the Number 2.

That is the Detroit way of playing football.

They're actuall trying to get Cutler with their 2nd round pick, I'm hearing. They would like to use the #1 on Michael Crabtree and the #20 on Hakeem Nicks.

Trading away first rounders isnt always bad practice. 2nd rounders and 3rd rounders can be as valuable or even MORE valuable considering you can get a player on a much cheaper contract or even a 3 year contract where he's only eligible for restricted free agency.

even if there's no cutler, it'd be a good idea to trade that pick down so we can fill in the depth chart with cheaper guys.

I'm up for Cutler. He has a little attitude problem but its a risk worth taking. We know he's a baller and he's got personality. I was interested in him during the draft and would be so again.

According to rumors on ESPN the Jets could be landing a deal as soon as tuesday that would send the rights of Brett Favre and Jets 2009 1st Round Pick and 2010 2nd and 3rd to the Broncos for Jay Cutler. I think this wouldnt be a bad deal if Favre decides to come out of retirement again he'd have Brandon Marshall,Eddie Royal,& Jabar Gaffney to throw to

Mon, 16 Mar 2009 16:33:38 -0700

Rich Cimini, of the New York Daily News, reports New York Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum is keeping a close eye on the situation with the Denver Broncos and QB Jay Cutler.

The only part I like about that rumor is that the Favre drama will be completely off our hands, with no chance of a return.

Seriously Dubb? Do you think that source is reliable? Sending Favre to Denver would definetly give him incentive to come out of retirement, which he is going to try to do at some point.

I'll believe it when I see it. Nevertheless, that's a lot to give up. I'm interested to see how this plays out.

Don't do it.
You can't mortgage the franchise for a whiny kid.
We are going to need those picks in coming years to replace worn out parts.
Keep the NY in NY Jets

As stupid as the rumor seems to me, I know tanny is better than that to give up the 2009 1st rd AND 2010 2nd and 3rd round picks to get an above average QB alone, forget Favre. Don't get me wrong I would take JC but not for all our top picks although the dimes are in the 4th and beyond rounds.

I'm completely against giving up the 2010 1st rd pick. We get it all done this year and that's it.

That's a little unfair. Cutler COULD BE elite.
