santana Icon : (17 October 2014 - 06:25 PM) its deff a good move for the jets they will probably manage to sell some tickets for the rest of the year
518-JeTS-FaN Icon : (17 October 2014 - 06:26 PM) nice to see a move finally, hopefully he can stay healthy and give us a spark
santana Icon : (17 October 2014 - 06:27 PM) put a spork in that salad
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (17 October 2014 - 06:39 PM) Should have gotten desean Jackson this offsesson
518-JeTS-FaN Icon : (17 October 2014 - 06:43 PM) yup
V DidDy 210 Icon : (17 October 2014 - 06:44 PM) wowsers
V DidDy 210 Icon : (17 October 2014 - 06:44 PM) i'm still crying from last night
V DidDy 210 Icon : (17 October 2014 - 06:44 PM) and on top of that the jets fuccked me again by getting harvin before he could play this week lol
santana Icon : (17 October 2014 - 07:33 PM) stop your crying THERE'S NO CRYING AT NYJETSFAN
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:12 AM) Jets are cutting David Nelson
jetfan4life12 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:15 AM) the probably could have had Santana Moss cheap. He has been healthy all season but inactive every week
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:06 AM) I'd prefer to keep him and cut Salas
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 11:36 AM) you would of thought david nelson would of been more of a redzone threat by this point. hes a big dude.
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 11:39 AM) real madrid shooting practice continues
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:02 PM) arent there some other names that could have been cut instead
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:03 PM) chris owusu
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 01:21 PM) Salas is better than Nelson
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 01:22 PM) Nelson is rated as the worst wr in football this season
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 01:34 PM) he has to better than owusu or graham
518-JeTS-FaN Icon : (Yesterday, 04:36 PM) I posted an article about harvin and some of his issues. Dude seems like a wack job with talent. Hope rex can corral this guy or he could make the locker room implode
santana Icon : (Today, 11:43 AM) Wasn't demean Jackson vilified as a gang affiliated street thug during his Philly release
santana Icon : (Today, 12:31 PM) damn football sunday and no ones on
Canuck Jet Icon : (Today, 01:00 PM) Yeah, cuz Rex is so good at developing offensive talent; 0 - Infinity
Canuck Jet Icon : (Today, 01:02 PM) Harvin is Holmes 2.0, except punches for general bitchiness and annoying first down celebrations.
santana Icon : (Today, 01:03 PM) i'm not buying into the media nonsense
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 01:06 PM) Harvin is a playmaker, we needed one.
Canuck Jet Icon : (Today, 01:15 PM) I hope he tears it up as a Jet, but he's been tossed from 2 teams in as many years and hasn't cracked 1000 yds in his career. I wouldn't be surprised if he had CTE from those brutal head hits, hence the aggression of late.
santana Icon : (Today, 01:18 PM) I was tossed from two t-ball teams and some people still say i was the best hitter on timid deer lane
santana Icon : (Today, 01:20 PM) bills RBs dropping like flies
Canuck Jet Icon : (Today, 01:20 PM) We'll only really know when the autopsy his brain. Stay tuned! Guy never should have played the Super Bowl after the 2 concussions he suffered against the Saints.
santana Icon : (Today, 01:26 PM) whitehurst clipboard jesus
santana Icon : (Today, 02:54 PM) brian shottenheimer must of lost his mind haha
V DidDy 210 Icon : (Today, 03:11 PM) fuckin orton
V DidDy 210 Icon : (Today, 03:11 PM) how does he keep doing it?
santana Icon : (Today, 04:53 PM) Jack Daniels
santana Icon : (Today, 06:25 PM) murray horse
santana Icon : (Today, 08:28 PM) GOD DAMN IT ANQUAN
santana Icon : (Today, 08:29 PM) what is this amateur hour!?!?!?
santana Icon : (Today, 08:29 PM) come on!
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Today, 08:43 PM) Manning just broke the Passing TD record
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Today, 08:44 PM) :boredom: we could of had him a few years ago
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Today, 08:44 PM) but at least he didn't break it on us
santana Icon : (Today, 08:45 PM) I don't think he wanted to be here
santana Icon : (Today, 08:46 PM) I don't really care for passing records being broken. Qbs now have a lot of rules in their favor
santana Icon : (Today, 08:46 PM) I mean even the catch that got them into the redzone was a PI call that wouldnt of been called when favre played

Shonn Greene
RB, Iowa

War Room analysis
Inside running: Consistently attacks the hole and punishes defenders. Is patient; waits for blockers to open the hole. Shows solid flexibility. Is able to knock the tackler backward. Falls forward for an extra yard or two when going down. Does an excellent job of keeping his legs churning after contact. Is able to easily run through arm tackles and keep his feet against hard hits. Grade: 8.5

Outside running: Does not show the explosive burst to consistently get around the corner. Is able to make sharp cuts. Is very effective running through defensive back and linebacker tackles on the edge. Grade: 6.5

Blocking: Is not an experienced lead blocker. Gives questionable effort in pass protection. Needs work on his technique. Grade: 4.5

Hands/routes: Is only adequate catching the ball. Does not consistently keep his eyes on the ball. Will fight the ball at times. Is inexperienced running routes, catching only 11 passes during his college career. Is a strong and productive runner after the catch. Grade: 5.5

Durability: Shows toughness and competitiveness. Was only a full-time starter for one season. Needs to prove he can handle an entire NFL season. Grade: 5.5

Bottom line: Green's Iowa career is somewhat of a concern because he was a one-year wonder. He was a backup in 2005 and '06 and was declared academically ineligible in '07. He has many of the tools to be a starting tailback in the NFL, but his limitations in pass protection and lack of explosiveness could keep him from being a first-round selection.

sounds like a goaline type guy. Straight up the gut for a few yards. Leon will be our home run guy.

Shonn Greene-RB-Jets Apr. 26 - 10:19 am et

The Jets traded their third, fourth, and seventh-round picks to move up eleven spots in the third round to select Iowa RB Shonn Greene with the No. 65 overall pick in the NFL Draft.

The Jets aren't shy going for the players they want, giving up five picks and three veterans for two rookies in Mark Sanchez and Greene. It's expensive, but we love the fit. Greene, at 235 pounds, is a classic bruiser who will pound teams in the red zone. But he can also block and catch passes, making him a major dynasty sleeper. This crushes Thomas Jones' 2009 value because they will likely split carries and Jones will lose touchdowns, assuming Jones is even back with the team. Greene will probably take over in 2010.

Sal Paolantonio commenting on the difference in the Ryan and Mangini atmospheres in the building:
"It's like going from Alcatraz to Dorney Park."

It is better to destroy than create what is meaningless, so the picture will not be finished.

Seems a bit expensive but if we come out of this weak draft with a franchise QB & RB I'm sure all of us would take it in a heartbeat.

He's not a franchise RB. He's not going to out run anybody. he's a bruiser with some moves on the inside. We have a good O-line so he'll do fine. He's no Moreno.

He is a Bradon Jacobs clone. Will pound the hole (ROFL) and lives for contact. I can see him and Leon leading the attack for several years.

His burst will surprize you. Yea the speed numbers don't jump out at ya. He reminds me of a young bettis style. I wasn't a fan of his at first, but he grows on you as he just keeps banging.
He is alot more than just a goal line type.
I watched all his games since he was at Iowa. Hope he works out for Jets.
After last years #6, we have to have some luck coming our way?
He is just so truely humble...and is really hard to find today and that carries him

I'll take that next season

His report states a one year starter & seen limited playing time. I see this as a plus in a smash mouth RB.

Jetsfan 115 has just committed sideyways

In an interview on newyorkjets.com he answers a questions about his running style. Saying "Yea I love contact, I love the Violence" .. I think we know the kinda people Rex likes.

I'm a Big Ten guy also (Penn State) and I got to see Greene run a bunch and let me tell you, he can fuckin flat out ball. He reminds me of a Bettis/W.Parker hybrid. Thats almost the perfect comparison to how this guy plays. He's got wheels, don't let the skeptics fool you. I saw him outrun LB's @ OSU and PSU all season long, and his initial burst will certainly surprise. I'm with you Jetshenderson, I think he could be a great player. Rex Ryan and Tanny know what their doing.

p.s. can we please think of a new name for those two? Tangini was perfect, haha. Now what? RyanBaum? lol. T-Rex?
