Electronic Arts is rolling out a Spanish-language version of its popular Madden NFL video game, according to a report in the Orlando Sentinel.
"Madden NFL 08 En Espaņol" will be available on the PlayStation2 and the Xbox360, and will feature a Spanish-language soundtrack, including play-by-play from Alvaro Martin, the first Spanish-language broadcaster for Monday Night Football.
The game will also feature its own cover athlete, San Diego Chargers defensive end Luis Castillo, who is from the Dominican Republic.
The game will be available starting December 11 in the United States in areas with large Spanish-speaking populations, as well as the EA Web site.
Redwood City-based EA (NASDAQ: ERTS) has a studio in Los Angeles, which has developed several of the company's hits, including the "Medal of Honor" series.
