How 'bout the Tribe last night guys? CC was struggling last night (well, by his standards at least) but Cleveland still cruised to victory on the back of a poor performance by the Yankees pitching.

In the coming games I expect the Yankees starters to be far better than Wang was but their bullpen is still a litle bit of an issue. On the other hand, Cleveland's pen has been lights out recently. Offensively both teams match up pretty evenly. The Yankees will always get men on base and drive in runs but the Tribe have a knack for keeping their composure and coming from behind. The two NL series look like duds and, whilst the Sox-Angels is pretty good on paper, this is definitely the marquee ALDS series.

Should be an exciting few games ahead. Here's to a Cleveland victory! drinks.gif cool2.gif

There's still hope for the Yankees - the Indians next two starters will be Westbrook and Byrd and both can be erratic at times. Both don't have electric stuff but have great command but both can be knocked about when they are finding hard to locate their pitches. There is definitely a drop off between our game one and two starters and these two.

I enjoyed watching the game into the early hours last night and thought both pitches were completely dominant. Petitte had his moments when he gave up hits to put Indians baserunners into scoring positions but was flawless when under the cosh. I was kind of surprised to see him pulled as early as he was too.

But in the next couple games the Yankees will definitely be throwing everything bar the kitchen sink at the Tribe and I'm worried that our next two starters could get bullied about by the strength the Yankees have throughout their lineup.

Let's hope the next game (and maybe the ones after that) are just as good as the first two!

I know that there is a slim hope of a chance for us to get back in this series, and I still believe there is no way possible that we're going to lose game 3, I said that from the start of the series. I think what we may do, since the game 4 starter for us hasn't been picked yet, we'll go back to Chien-Ming to start that game, and we'll go Andy Pettitte for game 5. We put ourself in that position where we have to do that.

Ugh now it is. Congrats to the Indians drinks.gif , RIP Torre's job, and now I'm pulling for the Rockies the rest of the way (not on some bandwagon shit...I've always liked them, and I have ties to Denver)

Like the past 2 years I will not watch since my Yanks aren't in the rest of the playoffs....I think that Joe is getting bounced out in the wrong way but if it wasn't for Joe Torre the Yanks would not be where they have been over the past 13 years....Thanks Joe for all the memories....
