ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 12:04 PM) already back to doing what he did last season THROWING INT's
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 12:04 PM) sucks that Garrard retired but I'd rather suffer with Geno going through growing pains than keeping Sanchez under center in 2013

Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:02 PM) maybe because theyre not that far off.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:02 PM) Cruz wants to return back, they'll figure it out.
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:41 PM) 3 mil a year off or 30% less then cruz wants. tahst alot of money to be off
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:41 PM) cruz doens't want to leave NY cause teh extra money he'll get in endorsements plus he knows taht they can RFA him this year and then Franchise next year so he might not be able to get a LTD for 3 years
Mr_Jet Icon : (Yesterday, 05:21 PM) Clemens11/Tebow15 (soon to be Smith7) said if we had just drafted Crabtree and Nicks and kept Clemens, we'd be good.

Hell yea, A-Rods getting hot, a grand slam and a 3 run home run.
Yesterday he had a home run and the other day had a walk off to win the game.
And the Yankees are beating the Mets 16-6 beach.gif

He's far from a class act. Hes a good ball player but also a MAJOR prima donna. Jeter is the class act on that team.

Can't argue that.

But Jeter definatly aint better in any aspect of the game, except heart and leadership and such. A-Rod is going to have 800 HRs in his carrer, question is, for who.

But right now, yea, A-Rods getting hot...in the 3rd, up 10, I've seen one great hit by A-Rod thus far and it was the walkoff not too long ago, but his form is back, and he'll be ready for the second half

Ok that explains why A-Rod moved to 3rd base instead of just staying at SS and taking Jeters spot. Were A-Rod was doing better at. crazy.gif

I agree with Jersey, Jeter is a better player than A-Rod. Jeter doesn't have his home runs, like 4 times less, but no point in comparing fielding, base running, clutch hitting, and hitting for average. Jeter's batting average is like 50 points higher than A-Rod's, and A-Rod is supposed to be able to get hits too.
Also, Joe DiMaggio and Dave Winfield were and are big fans of jeter, and that menas something.

If I were starting a team today and had a choice between the two, Id go for Jeter because he gets on base a heck of a lot and whenever he is on the bases, he is a threat to score. Also he is great on defense.

I would choose Jeter too, even though I like A-Rod, because Jeter is more of a leader, and also is more relieable on his play. I think any Yankee fan would rather have Jeter.

Jeter and A-Rod have been basically best friends ever since A-Rod got drafted the year after Jeter. But Smeds, I couldn't agree more on everything you said.

Whenever A-Rod is on base he is a threat to score too, A-Rod has more stolen bases then Jeter does in there carreer.
Thats why A-Rod is arguebly the best player in the league, because he does it all.
Good at defense, good at base running, good at hitting.

Jeter's average is higher than ARod's meaning Jeter gets on base more. Also he is more of a leader than ARod which is why I would pick Jeter. Jeter is a selfless character - typified by that play against the Sox in 04 where he flew into the stands to make a diving catch behind 3rd base.

jeter=tom brady
a-rod=p.manning(neither seem to be able to get the ring) and yes i know jeter and a-rod are both on the same team, its just that id take jeter over a-rod anyday just as much as id take tom brady over any qb in the league right now(and yes i am a jet fan)
