ganggreen2003 Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:29 PM) At least we didn't go QB again
ganggreen2003 Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:30 PM) You mean GHOSTon
MikeGangGree... Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:31 PM) Not f***ing happy
MikeGangGree... Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:31 PM) I hope I'm wrong tho
MikeGangGree... Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:31 PM) if I'm wrong I will eat m crow
MikeGangGree... Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:39 PM) Some mocks had him top 10
MikeGangGree... Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:42 PM) this guy is small
Jetsfan115 Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:45 PM) Most mocks had Lee at 17 to the Falcons
Jetsfan115 Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:45 PM) He's a day 1 starter for us. We've needed OLB forever
Jetsfan115 Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:46 PM) Plus we generate a great rush from wilk rich and Williams
MikeGangGree... Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:50 PM) I wanted Lawson bad
MikeGangGree... Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:50 PM) f***ing bills
Jetsfan115 Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:51 PM) Lee fills a need better
Jetsfan115 Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:52 PM) I would have liked tunsil to slide to us though. After east picking great
MikeGangGree... Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:52 PM) Would you take Lee over Lawson?
azjetfan Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:55 PM) I'm not inspire by that pick. Not even a little
Jetsfan115 Icon : (28 April 2016 - 10:01 PM) Wasn't an option. Lawson was gone
Jetsfan115 Icon : (28 April 2016 - 10:02 PM) Lawson is more of a de. We already have too many of those. We only have 1 proven LBer and he's 32 and we run a 3-4. Lee is a day 1 starter
Jetsfan115 Icon : (28 April 2016 - 10:03 PM) Broncos traded up for lynch
MikeGangGree... Icon : (28 April 2016 - 10:41 PM) Round 1 is done
2JBallar01 Icon : (29 April 2016 - 12:43 AM) He will play ILB for us.
Jetsfan115 Icon : (29 April 2016 - 11:08 AM) http://nyjetsfan.com...showtopic=38865
Jetsfan115 Icon : (29 April 2016 - 11:19 AM) jets tried to trade up for tunsil but the price was too high
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (29 April 2016 - 05:10 PM) Tunsil will end up out of the league
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (29 April 2016 - 05:12 PM) Lee isn't a pass rusher, hes a fast athletic LB. Hes probably their future at ILB, someone who can cover in the middle
Jetsfan115 Icon : (29 April 2016 - 06:16 PM) jets said he's an ILB for us
Jetsfan115 Icon : (29 April 2016 - 06:17 PM) If we could grab jack he would be an OLB
Jetsfan115 Icon : (29 April 2016 - 06:17 PM) ttians have 3 picks in the next 13 picks
Jetsfan115 Icon : (29 April 2016 - 06:33 PM) jack to jax 36th overal
ganggreen2003 Icon : (29 April 2016 - 06:33 PM) Did you hear that the 1st round pick for the Browns RETIRED after getting drafted
SoReALSoJetS Icon : (29 April 2016 - 07:29 PM) Hi guys long time no talk hope everyone is well
Mr_Jet Icon : (29 April 2016 - 07:46 PM) SMH
ganggreen2003 Icon : (29 April 2016 - 07:46 PM) JETS drafted QB Hackenberg PSU
Mr_Jet Icon : (29 April 2016 - 07:47 PM) Should have picked Connor Cook.
MikeGangGree... Icon : (29 April 2016 - 07:56 PM) I guess we are giving up on petty
Jetsfan115 Icon : (29 April 2016 - 09:02 PM) Or giving up on geno
Jetsfan115 Icon : (29 April 2016 - 09:02 PM) I said the rumor was they liked him more then cook
Mr_Jet Icon : (29 April 2016 - 11:35 PM) I know I'm biased, but I've seen them both play. Cook is just better. Hackenberg had one good year. Cook has won more games, played in big games and won them....whatever, its done now so no sense on dwelling on it I guess. I just don't see the appeal in Hackenberg, nice kid, but I always thought he was really overrated. Oh well. I would have taken Kevin Hogan over Hackenberg.
azjetfan Icon : (30 April 2016 - 03:47 PM) From what I have read so far he had a great freshman year under Obrien in a pro style offense. At that point some considered him the next Andrew luck. Then Obrien left and they shifted to a spread under new HC who did poor job bringing in talent. He was also sacked and hit a million times. Might be shell shocked.
Smedsthejet Icon : (Yesterday, 06:17 AM) But Chan Gailey runs a spread system - still, I'm comfortable with the Hackenberg pick seeing as Gailey will develop the system to suit his strength... I'm just glad that we passed on Paxton Lynch in the first...we still desperately need Fitz to re-sign though
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 07:14 PM) From my understanding the spread in college and the spread in NFL are not the same principals. I really think it was more of a talent issue and getting sacked 80 times in 2 years that did him in. I have no idea if he will make it. I don't follow college ball enough to to know. Theses are just things I read in articles.

we have to look at the 15-25 ranger for a player. those options based on our needs are

17 Charles Johnson DE 6-2 275
Built alot like a.thomas of the ravens if he can run a 4.6 40 (which i'm not sure of) he could maybe be a good OLB for us. i'm concerened that he turns out to be a workout warrioir like d-rob. he only had 1 sack all year so production wasn't there.

21 lawerence Timmons
as a back-up had 8 tackles and 2 sacks in the championship game of 2005. i couldn't find anything on his 2006 season. undersized though (6-3 230) could possibly be a good LB for us.

22 Adam Carriker
6-6 295 lbs. big enough to be kimos replacement. we need a DE if d-rob is gonna stay at NT.

24 Marshal Yanda
6-4 305. versitile lineman. i doubt we do it since we used 2 1st rounders last year on them but he can play Guard or Tackle. could be clements or kendalls replacement and we know were gonna need to soon

25. Anthony Spencer
DE in college. for us would be an OLB 6-3 261lbs. perfect size to line up opposite of b.thomas in the 3-4no sacks or INTs all year makes me weary. i don't like players who are ranke dhigh but didn't produce in college.

maybe some college fans can shed some light on these players?

well since marshawn lynch is rated as top 10, he wont drop all the way to 25. granted, he will drop slightly since few teams do not already have their #1 RB but he probably won't get past the packers at pick 16. if its true that lamarr woodley along with quentin moses, both players that are between 6'2-6'4 255-265 lbs, and thus best suited as 3-4 OLBs or small rush DEs in the 4-3 have dropped in stock, we should take carriker with the #25th pick if lynch is gone which he most likely will be. then we can gamble on getting either moses, who i though will be sick as a 3-4 OLB, demarcus ware-type player, woodley or spencer for our OLB. im sure 1 of them will even be there for our 2nd 2nd rounder (57th overall) which means we can either take micheal bush at 37 or trade it for turner or portis, whichever one we can get. this is definitely turning out to be a pretty good draft for OLBs, we just need to get carriker at 25 to solidy our dline.

adam carricker is not what we need because d-rob should play DE and were set with ellis on the other side...........i f we trade up we should look at alan branch instead of lynch and no shot moses is there in the 2nd round....the D needs to get faster so i say moses in the 1st.....zach miller in the 2nd rd.........and tony hunt in the 3rd

Anthony Spencer is one of my favorite players in the draft and IMO is the top prospect at 3-4 OLB. He is 6-3 261 and runs a 4.6. I don't know where you got his stats from because he produced insanely this year, 93 tackles, 26.5 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks, 6 pass deflections, 5 forced fumbles and blocked a kick. He is a monster and reminds me of Terrell Suggs.

Yea those are godly numbers. I remember bring him up just before the college season started. Mayock had a huge thing on him on his show. This guy just know's how to get to the Q.B and is an absolute Mangini type player. I like him alot as well and would be a great catch. I think he needs to throw on some more weight though. Just a litte

Mel Kiper's Big Boad has absolutely nothing to do with when guy's will be drafted. The Big Board doesn't account for draft order or team needs. Which are the biggest reasons for where someone gets drafted.

This is just the best player's available...if team's were starting over...this is how it might look. But because not every team needs a RB...RB's might not go that high...etc...

Get Mel Kiper off these boards!!! haha

Those numbers are insane and by the sounds of it he would give us a true pass rushing threat.

As we spent two first on the OLine last year I don't think we should go after an OLineman with our 1st two picks this year; they should be spent on RB, a 3-4 OLB and DE/NT.

im dying for us to get a 3-4 pass rusher in the mold of merriman or ware.....those guys are lethal and would take our D to the next level........i love thomas from the ravens as FA but he is 30 i would prefer to get a young guy and have him around for a decade

no ones mentioning cornerback in the draft and i forgot about it for a second....i wouldnt be surprised to see us draft a CB in the first round or atleast one of our second round picks. its just as likely as halfback or nose tackle
