Yeah, that was tough, but I went with Howard, he and Whitey Ford knew every way to cheat and get away with every single one of them. Like Howard would put a ball in the mud, then he'd keep it, and he'd come out with that ball and pass it to Ford and when the umps asked if they had a ball they'd say they did. So I had to pick Howard.

OOOO, THIS IS MY THREAD!
1B-Lou Gehrig-Has been my vote for greatest baseball player ever for years, he averaged...get this .92 RBIs....A GAME, he almost had 1 RBI in every 2164 Games he played in, too sad what happened to him, or else I bet he would have.
2B-Tony Lazzeri-No doubting the players of the 30's possibly the greatest players ever came out in the 1930's, and Tony was the best 2nd baseman, its also a shame that 'Poosh Em Up Tony' Died so young too(43)
SS-Tough, I love Jeters heart, and I love Jeters play, but Rizzuto had both and I gotta go with the Scooter, boy was he great, nice guy, and a great(funny) announcer
3B-Greg Nettles, boy, no one has ever worked the Hot corner better than him next to Brooks Robinson!
C-Tie, Bill Dickey, Yogi Berra, its not possible for me to pick between these 2, so I'll say tie, but were excellent and Yogi was funny.
OF-Babe Ruth, is and explanation even needed?
OF-Mickey Mantle-A Great player who sadly got rapped up in the stardom, but it didn't eclipse what he could do!!
OF-Joltin Joe-one of the best...with the most untouchable record
DH(1)-Reggie Jackson-Mr October, a great player, and I loved watching him fight with Billy Martin(well...watch it on tape)
DH(2)-Tommy Henrich...Good 'ol Mr. Clutch
P-The Most...MOST Underrated pitcher in the history of the game of major league baseball happened to play for the New York Yankees...and his name was Charles Herbert "Red" Ruffing...want to know what his carrer was so incredible...well read the Biography I wrote on him..Click Here
CL-Mariano, Looking past saves...I think hes the best closer ever
Manager-Joe McCarthy-Stengle and Torre were great too,.....but I like what McCarthy did wuith this team for some reason.
Thanks guys, I like doing things like these..this was fun

Now I love ya Maynard, but no offense, that's pretty stupid. As a Yankees fan, for the past 2 years, I'm honest and I've thought Rizzuto is the least deserving member of the Hall of Fame and shouldn't have gotten in. Look at his stats:
Carrer BA- .273
Career RBI- 563
Career SB- 149
Career HR- 36
Career 2B- 239
Career 3B-62 (that's pretty impressive, he got 10 in one year even).
Career SLG- .355
Career H- 1588
Now he was a great fielder and bunter, and that was it. Jeter has more of all of these except for the rings and triples, and Jeter has never really had a dominant team like Rizzuto did.
Before tonights game, here are Jeters stats:
Career BA- .314
Career RBI-776
Career SB-217
Career HR- 171
Career 2B- 313
Career 3B-48
Career SLG-.462
Career H-1954
Not to mention, Jeter is an awesome guy too (winked at me in the middle of an AB!!!) plus you can get hot chicks following your team.
