RetireChrebet Icon : (17 July 2014 - 03:03 AM) My main concern this season is the quarterback play, he or they need to limit turnovers. Simple as that. Also curious to see what we get out of the secondary. If the two aforementioned play decent football this year it should be a very good season.
Mr_Jet Icon : (17 July 2014 - 01:24 PM) Football has been gone so long it feels like the Super Bowl was over a year ago. And we still have about 6 weeks to go before the season starts.
santana Icon : (17 July 2014 - 04:37 PM) I still remember the super bowl very clearly

The Green Bay Packers released defensive end Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila, the franchise's all-time sacks leader on Saturday.
Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila, DE
Green Bay Packers

Career stats:
G/GS: 124/74
Tackles: 286
Sacks: 74.5

Gbaja-Biamila recorded 74.5 sacks in 124 games over nine seasons with the Packers, passing Reggie White (68.5) in 2007. He recorded .5 sacks in seven games this season, with one start.

"We want to thank Kabeer for his contributions to the Green Bay Packers," Packers general manager Ted Thompson said in a statement. "During his time here, he has been a big part of our organization and our community. We wish Kabeer and his family well."

In leaving the organization, Gbaja-Biamila issued the following statement: "My nine years as a Green Bay Packer have been a blessing that is beyond words. I thank God for bringing me to this first-class organization and first-class community. During my time here, I've built relationships with a number of people in the Packer family. The front office executives, G.M.s, coaches, past and present players, the enormous support and administrative staff plus the greatest fans in football, all have helped make my time here truly special and I am thankful for that. It has been a very positive experience. I was able to build a family here and grow with a community that I call home. Again, I've been truly blessed.

"I donít know what my football future holds, but one thing I've realized is that football is more than a game -- it's about building relationships and changing lives. One of the commitments I've had throughout my career has been to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and that is something that I intend on doing whether on the field or not. God bless the Green Bay Packers!"

Gbaja-Biamila was released to make room for defensive tackle Justin Harrell, who was activated off the physically-unable-to-perform list Saturday.

Harrell appeared in seven games, including two starts, as a rookie in 2007.

He had a knee injury, I would look into bringing him in as a passing down DE for us. See if he can help us get after the QB.

He lost his job to Aaron Kampman, it was only a matter of time before he was let go.

he got 9.5 sacks last year. I can't belive he fell off that quickly. (the surgury I guess) Aaron Kampman plays LE and KGB plays RE so Cullen Jenkins is the man replacing him

I say we bring him in for a workout, wont hurt to see what hes got left. He might still be recovering from his injury and who knows, maybe he'll be really good by the end of the year.
