ROBJETS Icon : (14 September 2014 - 07:27 PM) Problem is the corners. We knew this before the start of the season. I was amazed at how well they did last week and the first half but eventually the weakness showed
ROBJETS Icon : (14 September 2014 - 07:28 PM) The corner positions will be addressed next year. Technically we are still in a rebuilding phase.
ganggreen2003 Icon : (14 September 2014 - 07:39 PM) we did go toe to toe against a SB contender and we really shouldn't be heartbroken but if you call yourself a JETS fan and aren't a little pissed over a W that we had in our control then you need to go and hand in your JETS gear ... My Summary: If I played this way with my defense all season, I wouldn't have lost yet. But, the only problem now is the offense is starting to crap out. It's starting to actually look like Coles is the only real threat on this team. Pennington threw over 300 yards, Martin ran over 60 yards, Jonathan Vilma got my highest total of tackles since I had 19 with Sam Cowart in one madden game. I got 16 tackles with him. So anyway.

Score:
Jets 24
Browns 6

Week 10 Pre-Game Show: New York Jets (7-1) @ New England Patriots (6-2)

Jets Offense Vs. Patriots Defense

The Jets offense has been looking bad lately, and if they continue their bad streak this week, agaisnt the Patriots they will be looking at tied in the division. This offense better look the way it did the first couple weeks of the season, because their defense will be looking for help. The Jets have to score quickly, and make it a plan on every single drive to get points. Coles, Curtis Martin, Chad Pennington, and the New York Jets offense will have some trouble today.
Edge: Patriots

Patriots Offense Vs. Jets Defense

The first battle of the season between these two teams, the Jets didn't have to face Tom Brady. This week the Patriots will be looking for some revenge on that win the Jets got earlier in the year. That win has also been the deciding factor so far, with the Jets having the division lead by one game. Vilma had a season high in tackles his last game with 16. He will hope to get around this much against the Patriots too. The Patriots offense will torch the unexpecting Jets, especially because the Jets haven't had that much of a challenge since the Jaguars game.
Edge: Patriots

Coaching

Eric Mangini took advantage on Bill Belichick's missing quarterback on the first meeting between these two. Now, Brady is back, and the Patriots will be looking to expose this young football team. The Jets will most likely be coming in confident, and be exposed by Brady. How will this game break down? Will the Jets take a two game lead on the division favorite New England Patriots, or will the Patriots make the division that much closer between the Jets, Dolphins, and Patriots?

My Summary: Well this was A good game, until Tom Brady got injured in the 2nd quarter for the game. I had the lead 10-3 before the injury, and ever since the injury I blew them out for the rest of the game. It's like this team is useless without the guy. Matt Cassel did a good job filling in for him, but he just wasn't get any help around him. I would have lost this game if Brady played the full game.

Jets 34

If I start over I would have more updated rosters, anyway. Hodgins on Jets, Testaverde on the Patriots.
