ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 12:04 PM) already back to doing what he did last season THROWING INT's
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 12:04 PM) sucks that Garrard retired but I'd rather suffer with Geno going through growing pains than keeping Sanchez under center in 2013
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 12:33 PM) haha gg03 throwing in the towel on sanch!
mgjetman Icon : (Yesterday, 01:37 PM) What a way to make sporrts center already, Mark......
mgjetman Icon : (Yesterday, 01:39 PM) Sanch owns the #1 blooper of all time with that butt fumble also and to make matters worse he threw it right to a friggin Pat...

SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 03:21 PM) None of the NY media even mention Cruz or Nicks
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:40 PM) nicks isn't holding out. he's injured still and taking it easy. cruz is holding out. why it isn't a big ordeal IDK. it would be for us
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:02 PM) maybe because theyre not that far off.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:02 PM) Cruz wants to return back, they'll figure it out.
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:41 PM) 3 mil a year off or 30% less then cruz wants. tahst alot of money to be off
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:41 PM) cruz doens't want to leave NY cause teh extra money he'll get in endorsements plus he knows taht they can RFA him this year and then Franchise next year so he might not be able to get a LTD for 3 years
Mr_Jet Icon : (Yesterday, 05:21 PM) Clemens11/Tebow15 (soon to be Smith7) said if we had just drafted Crabtree and Nicks and kept Clemens, we'd be good.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) No, he can't be Smith7
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) his name is reserved for garbage QBs, we don't want Geno to be bad
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) He can be McElroy14
extmenace Icon : (Yesterday, 06:51 PM) we're taking bridgewater next year with the number 1 pick and treating geno like a jimmy clausen.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:53 PM) What makes Bridgewater better than Geno?
HurricaneJet32 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:12 PM) everything
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:56 PM) ^
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:16 PM) college players always get hyped up before the draft process, just wondering what makes him so much better.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:19 PM) Stronger arm, plays in a pro system, better throwing motion, better athlete
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:19 PM) there's probably nothing Geno does right now that's better than what Teddy does
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 10:25 PM) Wouldn't it be funny with Bridgewater ends up having the type of season Barkley had?

BOSTON -- The New York Yankees will begin the second half without the most consistent member of their rotation.

Chien-Ming Wang
Starting Pitcher
New York Yankees
Profile

2005 SEASON STATISTICS
GM W L BB K ERA
13 6 3 22 31 3.89

On Thursday, the Yankees placed rookie right-hander Chien-Ming Wang on the 15-day disabled list with right shoulder inflammation and purchased the contract of right-hander Tim Redding from Triple-A Columbus of the International League.

Since being recalled from Columbus on April 27, the 25-year-old Wang has gone 6-3 with a 3.89 ERA in 13 games, including 12 starts. He has turned in nine quality starts on a staff that has endured struggles by an otherwise veteran rotation.

Wang, 25 joins fellow right-handers Carl Pavano, who has managed to go just 4-6 with a 4.77 ERA in 17 starts since signing a four-year deal worth nearly $40 million, and Kevin Brown (4-6, 5.48 ERA) on the disabled list.

Redding, who was acquired in the trade that sent reliever Paul Quantrill to San Diego, was 0-5 with a 9.10 ERA with the Padres. Darrell May, who allowed seven runs in 4 1/3 innings in his first start with New York on Saturday, also was acquired in the deal.

To make room for Redding on their 40-man roster, the Yankees designated infielder Eric Crozier for assignment.

Not the way I wanted the Yankees to go into Boston today. He's been our savior.

The times I have watched Wang pitch he looked great. He's also my favorite pitcher on the Yankees. That sucks

Well, We are in a HUGE gap in the rotation. We need to trade for someone or maybe call someone up, or sign a FA. Wang has been great for us and sad to see him go on the DL.

His ERA is pretty high. The thin Air in Colorado is part of that I think. But anyone will do now. Its that bad in Yankee land. The pitching is Horrible.

It is colorado. His ERA on the road is in the 3's. I am very worried about our pitching. Not Moose though. He might be pitching bad, but his first start after the break career wise is bad.

Moose is now getting some bad calls in Boston right now. That 1st inning should of ended with only 2 runs.

This is not good, Wang is really our ace, and my favorite pitcher on our team with Rivera.
We need a new pitcher, that is at the most 27, we need young, talented guys. Pavano and the Big Unit I don't like, we need to get rid of them, especially now that Wang is down, this guy will be have a bright future.

The rotation is screwed. Moose and Unit are the only 2 real starting pitchers that are healthy right now and im tired of seeing these scrubs coming up and blowing in spot starts ( May, Henn and most likely tomorrow Redding). When will this end??? Come back Pavano please !!

The Yanks better not do something really stupid like give up Cano for a starter...that would be as dumb as it gets. So, we don't win it this year...we can always address the rotation next year.

Cano is a talent and is not affected by the NY lights like some players are that come here...I for one will be pissed off if they trade this kid.

I'm not sure if this is leagle, but can't they offer a team money for a good SP, maybe a pitcher the team doesn't want or and expensive old one or anything like that, say Clemems, can the Yankees give the Astros like 30mil, and the Astros give the Yankees Clemens, or can they do n e thing like that, because right now, I don't care if the Yankees payroll is 450million, the Yankees must make the playoffs, and a 2 man rotation would get me that

Well, we know redding is bad.

We sure do, and as Reg said, I was sure as hell expecting a loss, but by 16 runs! That was a bit more than what was on my watch.
Hermanator, I can't agree with you more, I will get so pissed at Steinbrenner and Cashman if we trade Cano, I'd write a letter just blasting him, saying he had at least 5 all-star appearances before he was done, and I'd tell him I could do better with his money (I bet I could). rtfm.gif
I was thinking of trading away Randy Johnson right now or after the year is over, look into Zito, the D-Train, and of course we throw in there a couple million dollars, let's say $15 million.
Then (I know this will cause critisizm for how hot he is now) Jason Giambi for Mark Texeira, and throw in a few more million dollars, but I think T-Rex might be hard to get straight up, so maybe throw in Brown or Pavono and you have yourself a deal (with the cash of course).
I think these might be hard deals, but since we give the cash to help them out, it might work.
