i'm not gonna rate this game until i get about 15 hours of gae play so not till next week. these are my initial thoughts. i played about 1.5hrs last night.

first i haven't played a madden since 03 really and i was able to run up over 80 points and let up only 7 agaist the giants which leads me to feel like same old madden defenses. i was able to even repedetly run the same play successfull which madden was supposed to fix. Anyway some indivual basis I added law and hunter which wasn’t easy but I was able to by cutting mickens then trading Donnie abe for hunter and releaseing james dearth and then from dallas I released abe. So I was able to balance the roster. You CAN’T cut pagel unless u sign another FS first but the cap makes it difficult. Anyway the jets are awesome in that game. Chad threw for almost 500 yards (476) and 8 TDs. Coles had over 150 yards and 3 TDs jolley and j-mac had over 100. martin had over 100 rushing. Law had 2 INTs (one for a TD) and vilma had 3. Miller had a TD on a kick return for 97 yards. enough with the individual stuff now to the game.

The emphysis this year was on offense. The QB vision cone is cool but the bigger it is doesn’t really give u an advantage unless your manning of brady. Its simple to use but with the extra buttons involved its hard for u to keep track of pass rushers and will get u sacked. Dbs are very beatable especially with the total control passing. Throw one highover the middle to your TE and he’ll go up and get it unfortunately the players don’t have a sideline awareness. They’ll run out of bounds instead of toeing the line. The run game feels good and the physics seem better then in previous years. I didn’t use the truck stick at all. On defense there ins’t much to talk about. DBs will get beat or they won’t. it’s the same for every madden so far.

Those are just my thoughs on it I’ll give my full review next week

I haven’t played madden since 03 but I did read on this one the DBs are supposed to be smarter. Anyway it was on regular difficulty(the default-remember I’m new to madden again. I’m a 2k fan) and played the giants.

i was about to say... You were playing it on rookie. I played it on pro first, which wqas easy and you can pass and all, but then i switched to all-pro and suddenly i couldn't pass, and if i tried to i'd get sacked because of that 10 yd rule. Also every time I'd pass and on the rare occasion someone would catch it, the receiver would have to jump for every time. I'm starting to feel like this was a waste of money. I'll probably get better and change my thoughts. The only thing I'm happy about right now is the back juke and truck stick. Miller on kickoffs rapes everyone on the back juke, he has two return tds in three games. If any of you guys play on xbox live let me know my gamertag is- general fly

You must be playing it on Rookie. Actually you have to be playing it on rookie. In the last MAdden I'd played roughly 800 games and that was my Xbox. I have played a friends houses and other places so who knows how many games. My average yards for 38.3 a game and yards against were 14.5. With that being said i guess you could call me a fanatic. I played it today on All Pro and I can barley score I have played a total of 3 games only line and I;m 3 and 0 and the other guys I have faced haven't even been in my redzone. So you have had to of been playing it on rookie. Try playing on all pro and All Madden modes.

i just been playing on pro and its still pretty easy. i can't complete ANY bombs but i can easily complete them over the moddly and comeback routes. jolles in my season leads everyone in TDs Rec. and Yards because i've been using him so much. the pass game is fun but the run games has issues and its hard to get any real sacks. only coverage sacks. oh and law has 5INTs in 3 games and 4 for TDs and miller has 2 KR TDs

played on all pro against a semi good human opponent and scored 56, 54(in 3 quarters and he quit) and 80 (with 11INTs for me). in the three games i threw 0 INTs and well over 25TDs

That can't be right, especially if you were playing online, unless you are extremely good, but still. On xbox live, I'm 4-4 which is deceiving because i have three unintentional quits, i.e. controller being pulled out when I was holding a guy to five yards total, lil sister pulling out the ethernet cord. With that I should be 9-2 also because I repeatedly click a when thje other person pauses and I accept friendly quits. The most points I'had ever scored was 27

One I am extremely good. w/o any cheats on xbox live I would win 98% of 2k games. Number 2 I was playing with my friend at my house. Not online. And number 3 I don’t like playing random people online because of cheaters.

Whats wrong with online play. No one cheats in hardcore ranked games, you'd get banned so easy, and the only time I see people cheat is when you play tournaments. You can also tell by their DNF%. If it is high, mine is 38 for the above reasons, then you can tell they have cheated because the other person will quit.

too many people all care about the wins and losses and ruin the fun that should be xbox live. and how can u say you'd beat me based on the fact u played the game since 94? 94 madden means nothing to 06 madden. thats a dumb comment. and i am really good at games. i pick up games i've never played and destroyed people in fair games. the only games i suck at are racing games. every other game i destro most people
