ganggreen2003 Icon : (Today, 02:34 PM) He ain't wearing 28
Mr_Jet Icon : (Today, 02:34 PM) Well considering they already retired #28 in honor of Curtis Martin, I don't see Johnson wearing #28.
Mr_Jet Icon : (Today, 02:35 PM) Kind of defeats the purpose of retiring a number.
Mr_Jet Icon : (Today, 02:39 PM) But I know he better not wear LaMont Jordan's number. Or I'll be pissed.
azjetfan Icon : (Today, 02:40 PM) Snell
santana Icon : (Today, 02:41 PM) The title race is real
Chaos Icon : (Today, 02:42 PM) Jordan...what number was he? it was 30sometihng
Chaos Icon : (Today, 02:43 PM) tanaka had a great game today. gave up 2 hits due to bunts. 10K
Mr_Jet Icon : (Today, 02:48 PM) Jordan was #34 with the Jets.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 03:03 PM) Tanaka is looking like a stud
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 03:04 PM) Jets added Vick, Chris Johnson, and Eric Decker to the offense.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 03:04 PM) FIRE IDZIK
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 03:04 PM) And this draft is loaded at the offensive skill positions
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 03:04 PM) Hopefully we can get anohter starting WR and starting TE in the draft
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 03:05 PM) Our offense could be much better than last year
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 03:05 PM) can't get much worse than what it's been the last 2 years
santana Icon : (Today, 03:22 PM) Very cool
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Today, 03:24 PM) FIRE IDZIK
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 03:32 PM) still need another WR
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 03:33 PM) so i bet powell barely gets any touches this year and goodson gets cut
azjetfan Icon : (Today, 03:34 PM) Goodson is as good as gone.
azjetfan Icon : (Today, 03:34 PM) With all his legal issues and coming off injury he is done. Possibly even in the NFL
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 03:39 PM) Powell is average anyways.
Chaos Icon : (Today, 03:39 PM) @ProFootballTalk 5m

Per source, Chris Johnson's two-year deal has a base value of $8 million, with another $1 million available in incentives based on yardage.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 03:40 PM) He does a lot of things well, but isn't talented enough. Johnson has breakaway ability still and Ivory is man beast running the football
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 03:41 PM) We will get another WR in the draft. Even in round 2 you can get a starting WR
azjetfan Icon : (Today, 04:09 PM) I am still standing by my CB in the first round and WR in the second prediction
santana Icon : (Today, 05:19 PM) The title race is bale
azjetfan Icon : (Today, 05:34 PM) Sidney rice coming in for a visit
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 05:49 PM) I think the Jets are getting themselves ready to draft best player available
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 05:49 PM) Last year they stuck to their board
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Today, 06:27 PM) if they sign him I think that means they look to take a CB round 1
2JBallar01 Icon : (Today, 06:32 PM) “@AdamSchefter: RB Chris Johnson's 2-year deal with Jets has a team option in it for year two. Jets have option to pick up year two at $4M in February 2015.”

Sidney Rice has agreed to terms with the Seahawks on a one-year deal, per source.

ganggreen2003 Icon : (Today, 07:05 PM) He wore #34 when he played for the JETS

"CHEW" OR "JEW"? YOU DECIDE

There's an intriguing imbroglio unfolding in NFL media circles regarding whether ESPN's Sean Salisbury uttered the word "Jew" during Monday's broadcast of NFL Live. The term was used in connection with Salisbury's discussion regarding the Colts' come-from-behind win over the Patriots on Sunday.

We'd heard about the incident from several readers, and we asked around the blogosphere about it. Our friends at Deadspin.com had the balls (and we respect them for it) to post a carefully-crafted story regarding the issue. And the RandBall blog at StarTribune.com writes that ESPN claims that Salisbury said "chew."

Here's the audio. You decide.

This is what we heard Salisbury say, regarding the approach that the Colts and quarterback Peyton Manning employed on Sunday: "We'll nip, we'll tuck, we'll go, we'll punch, we'll Jew, we'll do it all. And they nickel-and-dimed it and Peyton made the plays when it mattered all through the second half." [Editor's note: We previously had "crunch" in place of "punch." We apologize for the error.]

We reported several months back that Salisbury was suspended by ESPN for a week. Though we didn't disclose the reason for the suspension, it has been reported elsewhere that it was the result of Salisbury taking a picture of his, um, appendage and showing it to others.

We don't know whether Salisbury meant to say "Jew" or whether he was simply talking too fast. But it wasn't "chew," and if ESPN thinks that anyone will believe that, then ESPN thinks we're all stoopid.

Of course, the continued presence of Michael Irvin on the Bristol airwaves pretty much confirms that ESPN thinks we're all stoopid.

And thanks so much to the reader who recorded the audio and sent it to us. We owe you one. (It's just a figure of speech. Please don't ask us for anything.)

He also could have meant "juke". This is dense and the media are pigeons for clinging on to this. Wow really pathetic!. I hate Salisbury steak as much as the next guy but c'mon

Even though it's just some nerdy ass internet site poking fun at ESPN aimlessly...it isn't even funny...it's just kind of sad and pathetic to spend that much time on nothing...who cares?...really...

Well he did say nickle and dime them shortly thereafter....

None the less. So what. If Michael Irvin can smoke weed and make blatantly racist comments and still not lose his job, even though he sucks horribly at it, then this shouldn't even be an issue.

I don't know if that's what he meant to say. Salisbury has a tendency to stutter, and often doesn't say what he means to say. And Michael Irvin smokes crack, not weed.

hysterical.gif You two always crack me up. f-'n hysterical.

I think he just mis-pronounced chew, but who knows.
Fifteen years ago after an especially disappointing loss to Miami, Esiason, then the Jets' quarterback, was making the seven-mile drive from the Meadowlands back to Manhattan.
While he was slogging through stop-and-go traffic at the entrance to the Lincoln Tunnel, the car next to him was violently rear-ended. The quarterback threw his car into park, hopped out and ran to the woman whose car had been hit. She was wearing, of all things, an Esiason jersey, and was utterly shocked when he tapped on her window to check on her.
"Are you OK?" he said, trying to keep calm. "Are you OK?"
"Boomer? Is that you?" she asked the Good Samaritan, sounding disoriented. "I think I'm OK, but . ... "
But what?
"But you guys sucked."
Welcome to the New York Jets, Tim Tebow.

Nope. Well maybe he does smoke weed, but he also smokes crack. He has been busted for crack at least once and got caught with that crack pipe last year that he claimed wasn't his.

Check out these articles.

http://espn.go.com/n...18/1215598.html
http://www.thesmokin.../irvinmug1.html

He's been arrested multiple times for drug possession of weed and cocaine. Never crack. And the police "found a multi-colored pipe with marijuana residue inside a Versace sunglass case tucked underneath the driver's seat of his 2005 Mercedes Benz".

He's a pothead with a dabble of cocaine.

I'm not gonna defend Salisbury. He's a douchebag and a jerk. He made a mistake, and he's doing the only thing a guy in that industry can do in that situation. Lie about it and move on.

it seems clear to me he said Jew. to get the lowest amount until you have succeeded in gaining the whole part. it also seems that comedians are the last bastion of free speech ala carlos mencia.
There are only two Jews.........one being a descendant of the tribe of Judah which there were 13tribes of the nation of Israel and are Hebrews and the other are from "mystery babylon the great " from Nebuchadnezzar "s empire and the Talmud is where they derive their belief system .
Babylon under Persia
In 539 BC the Neo-Babylonian Empire fell to Cyrus the Great, king of Persia. It is said that Cyrus walked through the gates of Babylon without encountering any resistance. He later issued a decree permitting the exiled Jews to return to their own land, and allowed their temple to be rebuilt.
these Jews no longer followed the laws of moses but belong to the Synagogue of Satan.
